Hello, I’m not aware of any domain or hosting settings being changed but all of a sudden, the form on my contact page has suddenly stopped working. When completing the form, I get the error message ‘There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later’.

Any ideas or can you help with what the problem is?

The form was working. This has started recently.

I have check your website to see if I could solve this problem.
From your site I checked the following:

The “to” email address is valid.

The “from” email address is also valid and it is from the same domain.

The only other suggestion from your support site is to use an SMTP mail plugin. Would rather not go this route as it’s a clients site, but may have to.

Any other suggestions?

Empty red message box under submit button

A red box has recently appeared under the submit button on all 3 contact forms on my new website, which is in the process of being built. I’m presuming that it’s an update message box that should be disabled when it’s not required?
I have tried applying a fresh form and its still there. I’ve tried disabling all plugins, but to no avail. There’s no extraordinary styles applied.
I’m running the latest WordPress
Contact Form 7 version 5.2
Theme: Theme4Press Evolve Plus
Any help in rectifying this would be appreciated.

Email Sending Failed with Red Border Box

The Contact Form 7 forms that have worked for years recently started to fail with the sending failed message. The error had a red border. I talked with the hosting company’s support. They couldn’t find any sending attempts from my sites in their logs. Any suggestions? Is it possible to generate a log from the Contact Form 7 plugin to see where the failure is?

I have updated all the plugins and WordPress to the latest versions.

I’m new to all this and for the past week I’ve been trying to get this contact form to work.

I’m running the latest WordPress and latest plugin version.

I believe the form and mail settings are correct but when i fill out the form on the live site a red box appears stating; ‘There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later’. How do I get it too work. I know its a mail issue I just can’t see to fix it. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Form Error When Sender Email is Gmail.com

Hello,

The form has been working for at least a year, but a week ago, someone reported a red-boxed error: “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.” I’ve got CF-DB running, so I see her entries. I tested using my email and the form is sent. A few minutes later, another form entry arrived. Today, someone else got the error… and he’s also using @gmail.com. So I tested with a Gmail addy, and yes, got the red error message.

We’re using mail(), not SMTP. Thoughts, suggestions, ideas?

Red Box Error – No Answer

Hi everyone,

I’ve seen a few threads on here regarding the “Red Box issue” where “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.” displays in a red box when testing forms but you still receive the message in your inbox without issue.

I haven’t been able to dig up an answer to how to fix this error. Has anyone had any luck?

Line Break Between Fields and Red Box

Hi how do you make a line break between fields. I have a checkbox menu and need to put a line break after it before subject field.

Also i have everything else looking how i want it and it all seems to work but the box is red because of label use.

My question is will everything work ok even with red box?

Failed to send your message red box

Over the weekend, we’ve been unable to send e-mail. I get a red box around “Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method.” message.

I’m new to wordpress, the person who set this up is no longer with the company, any help would be appreciated.

Hi all,

I’m trying to set up the Email Before Download plugin and it all seems to be working fine except when I try to fill in the contact form, it comes up with an error message in a red box:

“There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.”

I’m still receiving the download in my inbox despite this error message? Can anyone help me resolve it as it doesn’t look great and will cause lots of confusion to the recipients.
