Oxygen Theme: Remove "recent articles" and "more articles" boxes

Hi everyone! Total newbie here, and I’m having the hardest time trying to remove the “recent articles” and “more articles” grey text boxes on my static homepage. I still want to have the articles, just not the grey boxes with text.

Hi everyone,

I’ve tried to fix it by myself but I can’t figure it out!

I want to get rid of these two grey bars “recent articles” and “more articles” in the front page in oxygen theme.
But I want to keep the articles on “primary and secondary”.

I have a child theme with a style.css file where i wrote
.breadcrumbs {display: none;}

It made the first grey bar “browse” disappeared but didn’t erase those two I’m telling you about.

I am working on my home page using the Oxygen theme. I have my home page set to static, and have posts set to Sticky with featured images in place, but still can’t remove “Recent Articles” and “More Articles” from the home page so it will resemble something like the demo. Any help is appreciated!

[Plugin Top 10] How to display recent posts?

Hi there,

I would like to know if there is some kind of option in the Plugin Top 10 to show recent posts. This plugin is normally used to show top articles but I would like to know if it could be used to show recent articles with its thumbnail and all the stuff.

Just now I have implemented Top 5 articles ( you can see it here: https://www.todoliposuccion.com ) but I would like to show 5 recent articles.

Hope someone could help me with this.

Recent articles not updating with latest scroll bar

Hey Everyone,

My recent articles that are directly below my scroll bar are not recent but in fact the oldest articles that I have posted. I am wondering how this can be changed/fixed to having the most recent articles appear. (This is not an issue with the widgets)

I’m using the 3.5.2 version of WP running on muy own host and the 0.2.2 version of the theme in podemosjugar.com. I posted a few posts but I still couldn’t find how to run the slider and put the posts under the “recent articles” menu and “more articles” menu.

Location not working on Oxygen theme

Hello,

I am using a static page as my home page and trying to populate “Recent Articles.” When I go to “Location” – there are no options to choose from, only a search box that when I begin to type, pull up locations via Google.

Here is the text I see in the Locations box:
” Any location you set for this post will be public.
Enter a location for this post:”
(and then there is a google search box that auto-populates with addresses when I start typing)

I have seen this issue on a few other boards but no answer yet.

[Theme: Autopress] Problem editing right sidebar bullet list

Hi!
it’s been a while that i’m trying to edit the bullet list in the right sidebar of my site, but i can’t find the source in Style.css.
I would like to change the list-style-type, because the actual marker is an unicode symbol not supported by Firefox, and replace it with a simple “disc” marker.

I’ve tried to add:

#content .widget li ul{
list-style-type: disc !important;
}

but nothing happened!
Can anyone help?

No Posts appear on Home Page after setting Slider

I recently changed my WordPress.com site to a self hosted site with www.remarpro.com.
I installed the Oxygen theme, which is very different from the WordPress.com version.

I’ve resolved the Home Page Slider issues I was having. However, now my home page only has the ‘Featured’ posts, and others which I had to manually mark as ‘Primary’ for them to show up under ‘Recent Articles’.

Where are all my previous posts under ‘More Articles’? Will I have to manually change every previous post to ‘Secondary’ for them to appear on the Home Page?? Going forward will I have to edit every single previous post, as I add newer ones for them to move down the home page??

Please help!

Recent article gray bar

Can I remove the “recent article” gray bar or at least the word “recent”? I want to be able to put things there that may not be recent. The word is limiting. Thanks
