I added the codes in functions.php file. but not working

This is no bug but I think it would be very useful to be able to personalize the excerpt of each post inserted in a newsletter. Sometimes, you want indeed to change the excerpt for the newsletter, from what it was in the post on the blog.

Is it a feature that could be considered useful to other users too ?

I bought the pro version of the Google places reviews plugin for WordPress. And i.am very satisfied with this plugging. But the only thing i won’t to chance is the text in the frontend of this plugging is the READ MORE and CLOSE text.

Where can’t i find these textlines to chance this.

Normally, if I write blog content right below a picture from the very top of the post, the first paragraph or part of will show proper excerpt on the front page.

However, I have a YouTube video instead of a picture and gave credits to Celine Dion and others. This is not the first paragraph of my post.

Is there any way to have an excerpt that shows only the first paragraph or part of on the front page?
