Trigger reindexing externally

Hi there.

(How) Is it possible to trigger the reindexing externally, by a webhook or using REST-API?

The reason I ask is because I do a product import/update over REST-API several times a day and I want to trigger the re-indexing when the product import is finished.

Hi there.

I want to ask if somebody can tell me when the re-index process runs. The settings page says

This action only need for one time – after you activate this plugin. After this all products changes will be re-indexed automatically.

Because I run a product import several time a day I want to make sure the index is not running the same time the product import/update runs.

limited to 50 podcasts with various providers

Hi, we have used SSP for a few years now, and seem to come up against this regularly: The podcast feeds (such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.) are only showing the past 50 episodes, for the most part. I cannot see any settings with those providers that would limit things, NOR do I see anything within SSP that would set that limit to 50… If you subscribe currently within Apple Podcasts (as an example), I currently see that “All Episodes” only show the feed going back to Episode 138 — the current Episode is 188 — exactly 50 episodes available, but none before 138. That is why it is so striking and leads me to believe that it must be a setting I’m overlooking?

Any thoughts/assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much.

Site migration with Yoast 4.x had our entire site deindexed

We migrated a client site using Yoast 4.x and after pushing the site live, Yoast manually set the canconical link for every page as the link on dev site. Since the entire dev site was marked noindex, Google crawled the site and de-indexed almost everything before we caught it. Upgrading to Yoast fixed the original canonical issue, but now the majority of pages/posts are no longer listed in Google and the “Validate Fix” button in Google Search Console can apparently take weeks to months to re-crawl and re-index these pages.

Does anyone know how to speed up this process or bypass it completely so we can get our pages re-indexed in Google ASAP?

When I built my website a few months back the search box in the widget section worked great. Now it doesn’t. I have tried lots of search plugins and still haven’t found one I like. Is there a way to reset the search widget to make it re-index my website???

Unable to resume indexing

Hi,

I am having real trouble getting indexing to work.
We have an application configured with approx. 70 Lac records in wp_posts. I have already indexed approx. 40 Lac data using WPSOLR plugin.
However, now I am unable to index the remaining 30 Lac data, as WPSOLR does not seem to be “seeing” this un-indexed data.

I have already spoken with your support, and they have just said that you will need to re-index. But that too is not working – I created a new core to try indexing to it.

Please suggest some hack/method by which I can continue indexing the remaining data.

re-index button greyed out

I just installed the plugin and it says ‘You need to Re-Index your website for the new settings to take effect. Please click on the Re-Index button’ but the button is greyed out/doesn’t work. Please help!

nRelate not indexing automatically

I am adding new posts to my site and the posts are not showing in the list of related content. Also, whenever I add one of the excluded categories to a post that is already in the rotation, the post still shows up.

Do I need to re-index my site every time I add a new post or change categories?

My old obsolete website (not wordpress) is throwing up about 1000 404s in my new site and despite having submitted new sitemap to google, old urls are still showing up in the Google Search several weeks later.

I would like to get rid of all these unwanted URLs or, if necessary, to redirect them to the home page. But I don’t want to have to go through all the files one by one.

Most of these 404s are html files, and seems some CGI stuff coming up too. Using 404 redirected at the moment, but the thought of manually redirecting 1000 defunct URLs is more than i can bear!

I have only got a couple of posts. Most of my site is pages with galleries on. Would this plugin do the job?

"Re-indexing" for several days

NRelate does not work anymore in my website. Since I pressed the “Re-Index” button, about 4 days ago, I can only see the same message: “You pushed the reindex button. Please wait up to 2hrs until complete.” Desactivate, activate, desinstall and reinstall the plugin didn’t solve the problem.
