How can I make an add to favorites button for random or recent posts on the homepage like on your site?

Your plugin used to return “random” posts. It hasn’t done that in years. Clearly i’m not that worried about it, but it would be cool if i could get it to show random content, Vs simply “previous”.

Hello,

I’m trying to edit Related Posts feature to show just two posts from the same category or tag and one random post.

I know how to show posts only from the same category, but I was wondering if I could somehow apply different rules for each of them.

Is there a way to sort posts by ‘random order’ with this plugin? I am trying to randomize ‘current query’ posts and this cannot be done on Elementor it seems. If there is a way this plugin could do it, would be much appreciated.

This is a nice plugin for anybody keen to have a semi-dynamic front page for a blog!

If you use the ‘Random’ setting under ‘more’ and add (as an example) twice the number of post ids than you set in ‘Posts per page’ it will beautifully randomise what’s being shown on the front page.

The way I am using it:

one div as entry text section
the first shortcode for topic one (picked by tags)
the second shortcode for topic two (picked by category)
finally a shortcode for my most recent blog posts

Another possible use: if you would like to add related posts to the end of individual post. This should do it nicely, providing you can edit the css styling. (My theme has ‘Related Posts’ as a built-in feature.)
