Translation in the Backend /Dashboard

I am using QTranslate XT and followed the directions of the document called “Localizing Participants Database”

When translating the field labels everything work perfectly in the front end, but it doesn’t in the backend.

If I see ‘First Name’ in the front end of the site, I see ‘[:en]First Name[:de]Vorname[:fr]Prénom[:it]Nome[:]’ in the backend / adnin section, which makes it not usable with very long text labels.

Does anyone have any idea of where I could start to solve this issue?

Hello,

First thanks to try to enhance WP with the n°1 missing feature for non US users ;-).

I’ll like to know what is the best way to use Bogo ? I’ll practice q/zTranslate from along time but Bogo philosophie seem interesting. I’ll like to test to switch but I have a couple of difficulties to :

use menu : do I need to duplicate menu elements and check 1 language per localized block ? or duplicate menu, and modify theme to switch menu name using the local var
use categories translation : how to set categories and slug in many language ?
use keyword translation : like categories, is it possible to use localised keywords slug

Il you can explain the best way to do that, I’ll will do a clear tutorial. Because th use seem blurry the first time you use it.

Hi guys,

I am using a child theme based in bold headline with a static page and qtranslate, the problem is that if qtranslate is working the post page remains blank.

I have already check everything in settings and also in permalinks…

Have you got any idea about how to solve that??

Problem w. WordPress 3.8 and qTranslate Editor

I run several Websites, all of them using WP 3.8 and qTranslate. All are working fine (despite no offcial qT update for 3.8).

On one website it used to run as well, but for a few days now, the Editor is broken, that is there, are no seperate areas per language in the editor. However, if I use langauge tags it works and everything else works fine too.

I checked the qT-forum, at least one other user has the same problem.

then I disabled all plugins and re-eneabled them one after another to no success. I don’t think it is a Qtranslate specific problem.

I also tried to downgrade to WP 3.7.1 but that failed.

Any ideas?
