This review is for realtors who are looking for IDX home search solution for their websites. I only chose Diverse Solutions as my MLS provider did not support some of the other highly reviewed WordPress IDX plugin solutions.

If you are looking for IDX software that is modern, beautiful, and well supported in terms of being evolved by the development team, I personally would look elsewhere, which is what I’m doing as I never wanted to promote my blog or website due to the sub-par UX of Diverse Solutions.

Note they have a 30 day cancellation policy.

Diverse Solutions IDX has several major flaws:

1. The user experience is old fashioned and the software is not being updated to address basic issues like having the MLS number in the H1 along with an address even if a house is not for sale. (They’re not fixing this.)
2. Sold / off market listings are difficult to see compared to active listings since the only indication it is sold is an 8 point mls status line buried along with other home details. Compare that to any other real estate website where it’s obvious what a house status is. (They’re not fixing this.)
3. Things like wanting to show the “top 25 most expensive homes” on a blog post are not doable. They’ll show a few then there’s a tiny link below the several listings to go view all listings. This takes you away from the blog post with a heading to see listings “matching your search” even though the website visitor didn’t actually conduct a search. (They’re not fixing this.)
4. Often it was difficult to get an address to show up even by typing a few characters when a house had been on the market for a while. Additionally trying to figure out what Diverse IDX wanted you to type in to get correct results was a mystery.
5. Can Diverse Solutions overlay a pop up of listing information when you click a house listing on a map? I don’t know but currently on my site where I will be removing Diverse Solutions it goes to a new page. You will long forget you were ever on a neighborhood guide unless you love using a Back button.
   
   Do I have any positive things to say about Diverse Solutions? It can be a way to generate leads, if you decide it’s good enough to want to promote it.

As of 2023 the price went up $15 / month. Yet there is no evidence why and especially when enhancements are concerned.

I’m trying to figure out how to change the property search on the property page to make the property status slider into a dropdown, like the rest of the search options.

To clarify, property type options (for sale, for rent, daily rent, etc.) appear as a slider on top of the search field, in black. I want to make it a simple dropdown just like the property type, or other options appear.

The problem is that the results script seems to completely ignore the sorting I’ve added and automatically adds the default “time on market, newest first” sorting instead.

How can I make it default to sorting by descending price?

I have a big issue here. I am making a Website with the “Real Homes” Theme and I spoke to the support of this theme about this issue for try to help me. In the end, they tell me to contact the Polylang support.

The problem? The result of the property search in other languages.

For example, if I search in portuguese (PT) in the property search, I am redirected to a page with the results in portuguese. But in the other languages, when i search, the website always forces me the results in portuguese, even if I have the search pages created in other languages. The big issue is that the Real Homes have a customization part that forces me to choose a search results page, the “Properties Search Page”.

I already created in the past another website with the Property Search this theme use, it’s the same, and everything works with the Polylang and Lingotek translation, the search works just fine as you can see: https://www.imoalcoa.pt/pt/. I even put all the settings of the Polylang and Lingotek all the same in this new website with the Real Homes Theme, but still don’t work, the search is always redirected to the page choose in the Properties Search Page.

Resuming, I’ve created different pages with the Property Search Template, translated on the four languages as you can see in the links:

That’s the big problem. In any language I do the search, I will be always redirected to the page I choose the the Property Search Page settings like I show above.

I already tried to change and experiment most of the settings of the Polylang and Lingotek plugins, but in the end, I am always redirect to the page I choose in the Search Page I selected.

The support of Real Homes ask me: “Have you added separate translated pages for Property Search page?” or “we just have to add different translated pages of the main Property Search page and maybe it picks it up automatically based on the language. So, kindly make sure you have added the translated Property Search pages in all the languages.?”. I want to customize the property search while displaying in front-end and customize the developer tab in settings.

For search i created two drop-downs City and Areas. I added some values in those two drop-downs in admin and they are showing correctly in front-end there is no problem in that.

• My requirement is like when we select the city, based on the city selected i want to show the areas in that city only.
  for eg: city as Philadelphia then in area drop-down we need to show only OC(which were entered in Developer tab)
• Another requirement is for Area drop down i want to show the full area name but when searching it should search by area code.
  For eg: “Old City” code for this is “OC”
  <option value=”OC”>Old City</option>
• Another requirement i need new page which should display the attributes city and area where user need to customize and add the values

Please help me on these.

I have got the property search bar and would like visitors to chooce from minimum amount of ￡ they are looking to maximum.

I would like to make if from ￡300,000 to ￡900,000 in hundreds, and after go from ￡1m to ￡9 and ￡10m+

For now looking on tutorials I have managed to make it in hundreds but it doesn’t let me have millions in this table as well.

How can I make it?

There is a problem with the search bar. When I try to search for properties and chooce any of the criterias, none of the listings show. I looks like that properties search buttom is not connected correctly. Coudl you have a look or explain what can be the problem?

When I add Listing Price to my search form, the dropdown options show as:
“Warning: Illegal strong offset ‘min’ in [path]/wp-property/templates/template-functions.php on line 1470 > $65,000 +”

I went to the template-functions.php file but could not figure out what was wrong. Any suggestions to help fix this?
