There is a very lucrative opportunity here! trust me, I am attached to some of the biggest names in the business and they don’t currently have a viable solution. I have a few clients who I have made small (I mean really small) changes for on their wordpress sites. And since then have wanted to get deeper into WP theme development.

There are a lot of wordpress ‘frameworks’ (Genesis, Thesis …) but these seam to simply add an extra layer of unneeded complexity to the theme development. I expect their advantages lie in allowing designers to customise the layouts without having to without get into coding or template editing.

So my question, would these frameworks offer a real advantage (faster theme development times) to me (a php programmer) or am I better off developing for ‘pure’ wordpress.

I told him not to use WordPress or anything related to WordPress, and he agreed to it.

Yesterday, I got a his e-mail and he said he built this from scratch. However, it looks like he used WordPress.

What do you guys think?

The first thing I’d like to accomplish is to set up sub sites for each one of my authors where they’ll have the same interface as the main site ( https://Ahoodie.com ) but a different logo along with a different css stylesheet. All their posts would be published on their sub site (i.e.: bob.ahoodie.com) as well as on the main site (ahoodie.com).
