Hi, this plugin is superior to many others with the way it manages script loading and implicit consent. However, it misses one feature that many offer now and is thus becoming the norm: the ability to let users distinguish essential cookies, statistic cookies and profling cookies.
However, this seems to be already taken into account in events that can be used to fire tags in google tag manager (“statisticsCookiesEnabled” and “profilingCookiesEnabled”, …)
Are there any plans to let users define that on the front end?
I’d like to know before I go into deep GTM setup.

Hello,

In the never ending struggle to achieve fast websites, we have profiled EDD resources usage in pages that do not use its functionality. That is, the “idle EDD performance toll”.

We used a payware profiler (no P3), so you won’t be able to replicate the tests easily. Therefore I am including a screenshot showing most of the report.

We have found out EDD is our 3rd top slowest plugin. It looks 4th but Genesis is the theme.

In particular, edd_add_schema_microdata() seems to take way too long, for something that is not even necessary for the plugin to work, much less in front end pages that are not even using EDD.
Maybe you could disable some of those expensive calls in pages where EDD is not being used?

I hope this might help you further improve our long time favourite file download plugin.

Membership profiling and Secure Networking (BuddyPress? UserPro?)

Hi all!

I’m building a site for (SAINE – South African Innovation Network) and one of the requests have been that we create a site that has ‘membership profiling’ and where members can search for other members according to what they’re looking for (i.e a university, incubator or corporate searching for certain people to create a professional relationship with) and then communicate privately with so that intellectual property can be discussed securely.

I have looked into BuddyPress and UserPro, but to be honest i haven’t used either of these platforms. I know you can integrate the two together, and I like what i see in BuddyPress from a community perspective and it’s excessive functionality and plugins, but i’m not sure about how secure it is?

I would like to carry on using the Jupiter theme by Artbees (dayam whatta great theme!?).

Are there any other plugins/platforms that I should look into for my clients request?
Is BuddyPress the best way to go?

Recently I encountered the default PHP memory limit of my host (8MB), which I worked around by modifying my htaccess file. In order to reduce my load on the server I would like to determine what components of WordPress are responsible for the overload. Is there a profiling plug-in or utility? What are the memory usage implications of caching (wp-cache or similar)?

Hello,

when accessing various portions (no pattern visible, but I’ve tested categories mainly) of my blog I get the following error. I’ve changed the domain (for now) but everything else in as it was returned from the server. Software versions are there, too.

I’ve scoured the web including (of course) www.remarpro.com for possible solutions and I’ve tried a few. What I haven’t tried is contacting the host about e. g. the php memory limitation in Apache (unfortunately I’m stuck with the host and the host is rather uncooperative). So, what I’d be looking for would be…

..a way to either optimize the code to fit the possible memory problem (and a way to actually profile the process without shell access, if that’s possible; I _am_ able to go in with phpshell, although I haven’t tried what kind of stuff I can do with that access – I’m pretty sure it’s limited)

..a fix to the problem that is causing this within WordPress, _if_ it is within WordPress

..any other help that you may have (excluding praying, mad rituals or sacrificing my firstborn, please)
