Profanity blocking with unusual characters

Using the provided method to Block Form Submissions Containing Profanity, fails to block phrases with unusual characters.

In my testing, this includes phrases that contain a period, or Russian (Cyrillic?) characters.

For example, if specifying these block words:
'test' blocks
'.test' fails to block (period)
'тест' fails to block (Russian)

When testing, I’m using the same respective phrases in the form.

Might you have any advice on how to remedy this?

Greetings.
This is another issue (that my client wants to implement).
The client wants that the adverts get a profanity filter. I know thar WP has plugins for it but i tested three of them (Word Replacer, WP Content Filter and Web Purify [which i could not run because requires an API which is Paid]) and neither did the job (of mask the profanity word on the ad body).

Do you know about a plugin that can work with WP adverts in a transparent form?

I’ve searching for a profanity or word filter that is compatible with the Social Activity extension’s posts and comments. Is this possible with UM? I have a full extension pass license.

I’ve migrated over from Peepso which has this as an option and while it was not perfect, generally did the job.

If this is not possible out of the box, has anyone had luck either creating one or using something on the plugin repo? So far I’ve not had success.

I bought CleanTalk to provide protection from spam and bad language on my Implecode eCommerce website. I use bbpress for a forum. I plan to use Contact Form 7 for contact. I don’t plan to do a blog.

CleanTalk’s advertisement said they supported sites “like” WooCommerce, but the settings page did not list Implecode’s eCommerce Catalog.

Will CleanTalk protect my eCommerce Catalog site from spam?

Unwanted Blacklist

I’m having an issue with the form, where a client is getting an error (orange border). I and other clients have been using this form with no problems at all. I was able to re-create their error by filling out the fields as they did. After some trail-and-error, I realized that it has to do with the cleint’s name: Cockburn.

When I remove all mentions of the name, the form submits and re-directs as usual. I saw in the plugin documentation that this might have to do with the WordPress comments blacklist. My blacklist is empty, and I’m not sure how to ‘whitelist’ certain words.

The Discussion tab of the WordPress settings allows you to set a “maximum rating”. It’s set to G by default, and I’ve changed it to X, but it’s not fixing the error. Any help would be appreciated!

Allowing Word Filtering

Hi,

I’m having trouble with one of my dropdown selections not submitting. All other selections work perfectly.

I assume it’s being blocked for the use of a profanity (Sh*t). I really don’t want to have to water this down.

Anyway to turn this off or enable the use of bad words?

Conflict with Bukvycja Plugin

I have Bukvycja Plugin on my website, but after installing WP Content Filter Plugin, the dropcap effect were no more. I still wish a dropcap effect and profanity filter, is there any solution.

Profanity filter not catching non-ascii glyphs

A clever commenter on my site has figured out that code such as

BULLSH[non-ascii glyph described below]?IT ,

[********edit: this edited out the non-ascii glyph amp-hash-eight-two-zero-three that was between the H and the I.********]

when inserted into a comment, bypasses the profanity filter. I’ve tried entering this into the profanity filter but it does not work to block the comment. A big, bold BULLS*IT is directly posted without moderation.

What can I do to clean comments of non-ascii glyphs? Are there any ways I can block this? I have to admit that I”m surprised this works in the first place.

version 2.43 not registering

I just installed your 2.43 update and it’s not registering in wordpress. I tried uploading twice, I refreshed my wordpress admin page several times but it still says that I have 2.42 installed and that a newer version is available.

The title is pretty self-explanatory: I have seen ways to replace profanity but I would like to make forum posts reply approval by moderators if the post contains any of a list of keywords. I know I can set this for comments but I also need this to apply to the forums.
