i’m adding products to my shop by overwriting the products that were already in the theme. when i save the new product it retains the url of the old product. shouldn’t it change with the new product name? how can i make it do that?

Hello, I need some help understanding what characters are ok to use in the “Product Name” section.

I’ve been using a spreadsheet to upload products. For now, I’m just testing some things out but I’ve found that when I use quotation marks in place of the actual word “inches” the rest of my product name disappears.

For example in the last category on my sample page link, the category is “Smallwares” and the product should read “18” wooden spoon” but once uploaded the quotation mark symbolizing inches is gone along with the rest of the product name so that all you see is 18. It doesn’t seem to happen all the time as you’ll notice the other products in “Smallwares” came through just fine. Is there a way to use a quotation mark as a product name and keep the integrity of the product names when you update them?

I use some html tags (

and ) in the product names. When the product is put in the cart and then validated, these html formatting disappears.
Could you fix your code in order to not to touch (do not modify) the product name, please ?

Product slugs not changing after manual slug rename

I am using wordpress 4.7.4 with woocommerce 3.0.5

what i did:
i have many t-shirts on my site and i build a template product so all i have to do is update the product photo. for example “Guy’s t-shirt” the slug being “guys-shirt” then i save the product and then duplicate it and change the name to the products real name. for example “Guy’s Chatterbox” slug being “guys-chatterbox”. this change is seen in quick edit and edit menu.

what happens customer end:

when the customer orders a t-shirt. for example the buy “guys-chatterbox” it shows in the shopping cart as “guy-shirt” which would bring us back to the original name i made the template out of.

what i have tried to do:
rename each slug to match the title of the product

nothing changes any advice would be great. i can’t see myself making a individual product listing for the total of 100+ designs i have.

Great plugin, but I have a problem with the wishlist when looking at it in my Iphone. When I look at the wishlist (view) on my computer there is no problem, but when I look at it on my Iphone the columns for product image and product names are intertwined.

Is there any way to get som extra space inbetween those columns?

Return slug and product name in woocommerce

Hi, I am wondering if I can have multiple products with the same name but a different slug (to differentiate) in woocommerce. For example, I have multiple items with the name wear guard, but each are slightly different and have a different part number. I would like ‘wear guard’ to be the product name and the part number be the slug. Then when someone selects ‘wear guard’, both the product name ‘wear guard’ and the slug ‘product number’ get sent in the email for part ordered. Both don’t need to show up on checkout, but can if this is the only way. Or sending only the slug ‘product number’ in the email is fine also. Our customers know products by the name with the picture, we know them by the product number. Thank you in advance.

I dont know why all the product names are bunched at the top. Where would I go to remove that?

Also side-question if you can help out. How would I go about adding a sidebar widget underneath or above the menu on the right side of the page?

I am using wp e-commerc plugin for my shopping cart in my website. Every thing is working fine. But the product name in wp_wpsc_cart_content table is storing the wrong product. May i know how can i resolve this issue. can anybody knows please inform and help me. I am also trying in a deep way. Actually i am new to wordpress it self.
