1. Sticky header is not working on the landing page, although it is working normally on other posts
2. Quick edit button is not working, and it is throwing an empty error that I can’t debug
3. Reply to comment button is not working on any post, the JS / Plugin seems to be broken
4. The OWL Carousel / Banner Slider plugin always has lazy loading enabled, and it slows down the entire landing page, seems like the code is somewhere in the theme, you can’t disable this behavior even if you’re using anti lazy load plugins or code, can’t find where it is in the theme
Please do not suggest disabling plugins and such, I tried disabling all plugins, installing other themes, reconfiguring Cloudflare, everything I have done so far has isolated that all the problems are within this theme. And I have zero idea how to fix any of them, after more than 50 hours of debugging, please help.
]]>But it doesn’t give the opportunity to add logo, it doesn’t recognize some social media in the social menu, the widget system doesn’t work so you use a plugin to reset default WordPress widget system and finally is enough slower than around 50 other themes I have ever seen.
]]>I have a WordPress site up to date with all its plug-ins, and I have created and deleted a lot of backups in the past.
There is one specific back-up, a few months old, that has the double size of my usual back-ups (all of them are full back-ups so I don’t know how that happened). I have tried many times to delete it, but the order does not come through.
Note here that I have made several back-ups that I deleted after that one.
Recently I have been getting messages about almost running out of storage room for my site, so I really need to get rid of this one. Is there anything I can do?
Thank you in advance.
]]>When I reported it to the developer, they told me to pay for the pro version and then they would help.
Why would I buy something that doesn’t work? I’ve paid for themes only to discover issues with plugins and such.
If a theme can’t get it’s front page to layout as pictured, it obviously has other major fundamental issues as well. Dodged a bullet here. Will keep looking for a theme that works.
When I told the developer that I wouldn’t pay for a theme already broken and would leave an “honest” review, this was the response:
“Can’t expect much from people like you.
Karma is a bitch, please keep a note!”
People like me? People who expect themes to work? I prefer to buy themes as they tend to be less work, but I won’t buy one that doesn’t work.
I’m guessing there are more “people like me” with these expectations.
]]>Plugin does not associate accounts with logins but instead with email. The email can be changed by the users and therefore would disassociate their account with the subscription.
If the same paypal account is used to initialize a subscription for two separate accounts, it will not work for an account with a differing email. Due to the fact that an email can only be associated with one account, it therefore means that only one paypal account may be associated with any single user at any given a time.
In the case that a user on wordpress decides to change their email for whatever reason. Some other user can simply input the email of the subscribed user and would gain their subscription status.
Suggested solution is to allow the user to input the username with which to associate the subscription with if they already have one. Automatically auto-fill the form if they are already logged in. If not logged in and not creating a new account, require login to autofill the form and as mentioned allow them to modify this with a cross check in the database to make sure entered account exists.
]]>Question: What does the future hold for this plugin? I check this forum once a week, and I continue to see users reporting problems. And I don’t see ANY tech support/developers responding in the forum with any reassuring solutions/suggestions/game plan. Leadership and vision within the company seem to be severely lacking. It seems as if the developers/tech support have decided that silence is the way to go in regard to forum posts that relate to the current problematic status of the program.
Have any of the developers suggested to the users that they’re working to get this plugin back to its reliable & effective status? I’ve not seen any indication of this. I realize that there have been several recent updates that have supposedly address the problems that people are having. But these updates don’t seem to be helping as the majority of forum posts that I read indicate that there’s still lots of unhappy users.
Has this plugin seen its better days? Is it time to move on to an alternative? I can accept this if that’s the case. But I need to know! And I need to know now! Hey Yoast Developers: Let us know where this plugin stands! Spell out a clear vision on what the company plans to do with future releases/updates/versions so we can all either stick with the plugin or find an alternative.
BTW – What are some alternatives to Yoast. Anyone know of any? I’d love to check ’em out!
Thanks!
-Mike
