Unable to run the install.php file correctly

Hi Guys,

Everything is in the title, I can’t open the install.php file in a browser correctly. First, I tried directly from my file manager in cPanel, but it showed me a weird page titled “Error: PHP is not running” followed by things that look to me like functions (I know nothing about PHP). I use a web hosting service called GreenGeeks and the PHP version is 7.4.9 and MySQL version is 15.1 Distrib 10.3.24-MariaDB. I then tried using a web browser to point to my website using the following url: https://example.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php, but I got a “404 Not Found” error. Since my wordpress folder is under /public_html/wordpress/* I then tried with https://example.com/public_html/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php, but I got the same error. Therefore, I guess that my website is not online, but I don’t even know how do so… I don’t know what to put my mind on anymore… The famous “5 minutes installation” is a “memorable 48 hours installation” for me now… If anyone could help me it would be much appreciated.

When trying to install this plugin I get this error in WP:

“The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature”

Problem installing new theme

I brought WordPress Premium and i wanted to install a new theme.
I follow the following instruction;

I selected themes and i don’t see any “add new” button or icon on the top.

I have tried everything but i still can’t find a way to install the new themes i brought.

Please advise.

I tried 4 times to install the plugin by two ways: 1) throug wordpress plugins page and 2)uploading the zip file but in the two ways the plugin is not been installed. Hepl please

Help!
I’m new to WP and trying to get started.
I’m attempting to install plugins but not getting past the “downloading” message when I use the “install” process.
I’ve tried downloading to my computer and then using the “upload” option. This gets me to “unpacking”, but again no further.
I’m certain the solution is fairly straight forward, but I have no idea where to find info to resolve and move forward.
Any suggestions. Thanks.

My MU site is redirecting to my main url pls help

Hi
I have the latest version of wordpress and just enable mu without any problems until after I created a mu site. When I click on example https://jakesblog.domain.com I was redirect to my main site but the jakesblog url is still there. And my main site has nothing to do with the installation in my www.domain.com site.
Sounds confusing but here is a map I can show.

www.main.com which is my main site hosted with hostgator egg plan.
I have also other sites under it which include the domain.com.
I had installed wordpress mu in domain.com.
After creating a sub site in domain.com “jakesblog.domain.com” and click on visit.
My jakesblog.domain.com shows my www.main.com site.
but my jakesblog url is there in the address bar.

Could someone please assist me on fixing this?
