Idk what creates this error.
Thanks for any help.
]]>Is there some setting I can change, something I’ve done wrong? Or is there a way I can make the website temporarily unavailable while I make changes?
]]>Note: Elementor is up to date, as well as all of my plugins. I also tried using another theme to see if my edits show up but nothing.
]]>Your Product Categories widget now has a different layout and a search. We do not want a search in our Product Category Widget – We all ready have a search widget we prefer using. Also if someone clicks the “x” of an item in the Product Category Widget it takes them automatically to the “shop” page which we DO NOT want them to go to. So now we have to deal with what “YOU” think we want for the Product Category Widget or completely eliminate that widget from the sidebar which is what we am going to have to do. We LIKE the older version of the Product Category widget – simple – drop down menu – select an item and it takes you right to what you want.
After further exploration you have change all the widgets to include this “Search” feature and if “x” is clicked it takes them to the shop page. What a mess you have created……..We DO NOT want a “Search” feature in any of the widgets we use on the side and we DO NOT want the ability to click an “x” within the widget. Please put it back to what it was before.
Also another series issue – when we go to edit the product – if we made changes we had the opportunity under where it says “Publish” to “Preview Changes” before updating. That “Preview Changes” is gone. And this is in direct coalition of having updated to WooCommerce 3.5.1.
Not a fan of your latest updates and luckily we have tried this on a staging site. We are resisting updating on our live site for as long as possible until the items that are important to us are fixed.
Thank You,
Ruth
Please help.
]]>However, when I go back to my dashboard and click on the
“View Site” tab in the upper left-hand corner, just above
the dashboard, I can see everything except the opt-in form
at the bottom of my posts. Why is this? What could I be
doing wrong?
How is it that I can’t see my opt-in form I placed at the
bottom of each post, but I can see the opt-in form in the
side bar?
My website is currently under construction, so I have a
maintenance page that blocks it from being seen until I’m
ready to show it. What can I do to solve this problem? For
the record, my website address is: https://howtosite.net and
I’m currently using the WordPress 2016 theme, version 4.5.3.

]]>‘x’ or ‘y’
It looks to me like the or is being parsed somewhere as a logical operator between two string variables/values, and this causes a crash?
I have a few sites with various WordPress versions, and it fails for me on WordPress 4.4.1 (WooThemes Canvas and Gadgetry themes) and 4.3.2 (Canvas) but is OK on 4.2.6 (Canvas)
This is NOT a server configuration problem as it only happens on the one page the change is made to, and as you can’t update the page with this edit in it you can’t get the error when just viewing a page.
When I first had the problem the sentence the text was in was considerably longer – I have whittled it down to the basics for this example. It is fixed by replacing the quotes by the HTML left and right single quotes lsquot;
and rsquot;
Happy bug hunting, this one took me an hour to work out.
