Currently, the position of the presentation page is as follows:
1) Slider
2) Text Area 1
3) Columns
4) Text Area 2
5) Text Area 3
I would like to change it to:
1) Slider
2) Text Area 1
3) Text Area 2
4) Columns
5) Text Area 3
I’ll appreciate the help with this.
Thanks.
]]>Editing a friend’s website. He wants 20 blog post (summaries) to display on his homepage, like it used to, rather than 4. (I assume the change happened when either WordPress or Parabola updated, but I wasn’t working on his site then.) I went to Settings-Reading-number of posts to display, and that was already set to 20. Then I tried to get into Parabola Settings, to change the presentation page, but they had disappeared. So I installed the Cryon Serious Theme settings plugin to make the parabola settings re-appear, and they did. Then I went into the Parabola settings and changed the presentation page to have 20 posts display, but it still only displays 4.
The website in question is here: https://mapstotheotherside.net
]]>I have an intro to my site in a paragraph where the “extras” go on the presentation page. I want to add to it but, I don’t want it to push my 4 widgets down that far.
So how can I get that block of text under the widgets? I tried a plug-in called “Header and footer commander” but it didn’t do anything :/
Thanks for your time!
]]>Basically with parabola, setting the home page to static means you don’t get the nice presentation page, which i need (worked hard on making it look good)
But … i can’t get my posts to appear on a different page other than the front presentation page. in the customise setting i can set the “posts page” to my custom post page, whilst keeping the front page as a non-static page. (however that just sets the front presentation page to display latest posts) its all rather contradictory.
Then in the main dashboard settings bit, under “reading” the posts page option is greyed out unless i make the front page “static” but again, i just end up with posts on my front page and no presentation.
So, how can i have my presentation page post free… and my posts on a separate custom page/link. PLEASE HELP this is driving me nuts
Thankyou in advance
]]>Thank you for making this plugin. So far, things work fine with pages, and widgets. I wonder about easiest way for translating the presentation page in a free Nirvana theme. I see that a subfolder is already created which is a good sign. For example:
Homepage in the principal language is example.com
Homepage when other language is selected (i.e. English) is example.com/en/
Now, how do I input text in English for the presentation page, so example.com/en/ serves the right content?
Thank you

]]>I’ve created a Presentation page that has the module at the bottom that pulls the latest blog posts. Everything is working swimmingly. However, the excerpts that it is pulling for the blog section are extremely long. They take up the full height of my 14-inch laptop’s page. It makes it appear as though it is pulling the full post, it is so long. It’s not pulling the full post—I have WordPress Settings>Reading set to show summaries, and it does have the ellipses plus the “Read More” button, so it isn’t the whole post. But it is super long! And on top of that, the excerpt/summary strips out all the formatting, so there are no paragraphs breaks, just one big ugly wall of text.
I know I can create a manual excerpt, but I’m not the one who’s going to be writing these posts and I don’t think the author will take the time to do that. How/where can I change the number of words that the theme is pulling for these summaries?
]]>The only way I’ve found to create a presentation page is to use the Mantra presentation page options, and the only way I’ve found for me to see what I’ve done with those options is to enable the page–which then displays to users while it is still in draft mode.
