I’ve tried:
1. deactivating plugins
2. editing my username and making sure it’s set on administrator (there’s only one member)
Would appreciate help and explanation. I don’t know how to code and edit php / css / html. I don’t know what happened, I do believe my user had acess to new plugins feature etc. before.
Thanks

I have the following problem. After upgrades to 3.0 (using the automatic option), I’m having troubles with the permissions. Can someone share with me what should be the permissions for the specific directories in order to be secure? Because that’s my main concern after changing some permissions to make wordpress work normally.
The second and most annoying issue is the following: While with Safari browser everything looks fine, but does not work fine… When I try to edit articles I can’t edit drafts… Firefox and Chrome show the website like this:
I think that something might me wrong with the permissions. The weird thing is this… issue happened suddenly. I don’t know if my provider did any reboot/upgrade on the machine (linux) which caused issues…

Unable to create directory /home/treacle/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2010/02. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
Surely, this should be sorted by the installation script?
Which file is it suggesting does not have the correct permissions and what should they be? Also, should they be recursive?

I have a copy of all the old tables: I reloaded them up, changed the prefix back to “wp_” and then everything work. However, since I’m running two wp installs in the same db, I have to change the prefix (fyi, the other install gives me the same error, too) The entire sites, browsing, etc, works with the new prefix “delu_” except the admin section.
What’s going on here? Is the prefix hard coded somewhere else?

I tried to change all access to 777 that didn’t work and then I read in a post here to change the directories to 755 and the files to 644. Still nothing! This is driving me crazy, does anyone have a solution?
I am very new so keep your answers simple, sorrry!
