]]>The switch works fine in the desktop view and tablet view, but it disappears in the smartphone view.
This phenomenon is easily demonstrable as you gradually narrow the screen on the desktop.
Is there a fix for this?
(According to the past threads, the preheader looks especially vulnerable to idiosyncrasies in the mobile view.)

]]>Every time I try to enable the social media icons and search bar pre-header, I get a black box under my header image but before my logo/menu links. I’ve changed the colors for the preheader in the custom styling area, but it always comes out black.
I need to be transparent and have it float above my header image. Is this at all possible? Right now I have the pre-header disabled since it looks like an eyesore, but now my header looks too empty.
]]>I’m designing my site with a text menu in the preheader and nothing in the main menu. I see on my iPhone that the preheader is not shown, and the main menu area appears as a black bar – of course, there’s nothing there for the bar to show. I’d like to stick with my current design rather than shift back to the main menu with drop downs, which I found a bit awkward. How can I modify the code to display the preheader for mobile and get rid of the black bar? I assume this problem applies to the site display on the iPad, too…

first of all thank you for developing the theme and giving us the possibility to use the lite one!
I am new to wordpress and some NGO asked me the provide them “pro bono” little site for a theater festival. So, the site has shows that must be filtered (from the pre-header menu) using the show type they belong to or the date of the show. The strange thing is that any time I add a menu pointing to a Day Category in the final HTML it will expand in a show type and the day category. It always adds the category 13. Obviously the showed posts are not the desired one.
The page is fundatiafito.ro/fito2014, but it’s in romanian 
It behaves the same if the same custom menu is used in the Header section.
The caption ot the beginnig of the Category archive page corractly states the desired category, only that the generated URL has the second category ( the same category is introduced in the url of any category archive)

]]>I needed to customize the preheader file, checkout.php
I see that i can customize a page by putting a template file in my theme, but there is no way currently to do the same for preheader files.
I ended up modifying your core file /includes/init.php to suit my needs.
If you’d like, I could send you the code. It might be good to include this in the next version of PMP.
