Is there a Plugin to Patch Up Potential Threats to Security On Your Site?

I have a plugin called: Anti-Malware Scan and it keeps showing potential threats to my wordpress security. Is there anyway to patch these potential threats up? This is what it shows:

How to delete the files which are found Threats after scan. Please look at image: https://pho.to/AaH6h, as you can see it says “Found 12 Potential Threats” how to repair or delete that.

I have taken over administrating a website for a client.
I can see that, it must be infected since there is added text on every page that shouldn’t be there in the backend(WP)

Moreover, Google informs me that two of the pages on the site “May harm your computer” and in some browsers like mozilla it comes up with a warning that you shouldn’t enter the infected pages.
I also did a Wordfence scan and the activity log says that there is suspected malware.

When I run the Anti-Malware scan it doesn’t find any known threats. It only finds potential threats.
Why is that and can you help me fix it?
I have some experience coding websites but I have no experience locating and removing malware.
I really hope you will be able to help me

It’s clear how to get rid of the highlighted known threats that are in red, but the potential threats just have a question mark by them and I can’t do anything with them, even the ones I know for a fact are bad/malicious.

i have recently install (yesterday) your plugin and i made a first whole scan of my sites. It found potential threats over 80 and it was keep on going. I can’t seem to find a way of deleting these files (don’t know if ti must). Do i need to register first so it can shows the specific button or something else? Can you help me with this?

Removing Potential Threats (Codes) Makes the Site Disappear

Hello Eli,

My website is currently listed as suspicious and showing google red page. I thought to try out your plugin for my wordpress site. I did run a “Complete Scan” and “Found 6 Potential Threats”.

I thought to remove them right away (eval – evil) codes from some .js and .php files but after deleting them codes..Puff, my site didn’t show up the content. I had to run the backup to recover my site.

Now, The thing i am confused about is, How to remove those “Potential Threats” codes from the files? because if i will than site will get disappear :/ Can you please help me to solving this? Your help will be much appreciated and I’ll happily donate to your plugin service

Malware pop ups only on my WordPress site

Hi,

I’ve been having issues with pop ups (e.g. adcash and zg1.zeroredirect1) over the last few days. I only get these pop ups when I click on a button/link on my website https://rothaar.co.uk/. I don’t get these when I’m on any other website. I suppose this means that the malware is somewhere in my WordPress files rather than on my mac (I did a scan on my mac, but couldn’t find anything that points in this direction). I installed this plugin and did a scan of my WordPress site. It didn’t find anything apart from 95 potential threats.
I don’t know what to look for in the first place, but 95 files…

I don’t have a backup of the latest changes (and if I’m honest I wouldn’t know exactly how to go about installing a backup).

Any suggestions how I can solve this issue? Thank you.

Numerous 'Potential Threats' & return of malware

Hi Eli,

First thanks a great plugin that has saved what little hair I have left. I look after several sites for family members, and have couple of my own. ALL of the websites started to redirect last week e.g. www.capeclearholidayhome.com.
Anyway, I found your plugin and have been plugging away running it on each site. Its been working great and I thought I finished yesterday. However, the above site (for eg) site started redirecting again. I fixed it again, and was wondering how it was reinfected.
My system is clean (per McAfee), could it something in the ‘potential threats’. Can I edit the ‘potential threats’ without damaging the running of a website?

Any help / ideas would be appreciated please.
