This form is based upon Caldera Forms (now bought out by Ninja and sunsetted). The form makes use of the Caldera processor “Save as Post Type” to create a Custom Post Type called “Application / foh_app”.
Then within PODS, I created a POD with fields mapped to the form field names. Additionally, I created a PODS template that allows the data from the form to be displayed.
I then use Post Tables Pro to create a page showing all the applications made and then when you click on the same, the PODS template is used to display the form fields.
Now, because Caldera has gone, I now find out that I can’t continue to use as it is incompatible with PHP8+. So, I need a new Form plugin that can emulate the “Save As Post Type” ability of Caldera. Ideally, I would just need to change the form processor and it would slot in with the same mapping.
So, to my questions:
Does anyone know which of the other Forms plugins offer the same type of functionality, so I can go through them and review – or if anyone has a special favourite that they know works well. Ideally, free but if not I WOULD like to try before I buy as often you buy something that doesn’t work 100% as you want and then you are stuck with it.
Ninja did issue a conversion tool. However, you need to buy their products (including paid add ons) before you can successfully convert the form. I have trialed the conversion and the above point aside, it seems to work.
So, there are many form processor plugins, all with loads of features described differently so if anyone knows some good contenders to look at then I would greatly appreciate a steer in the correct direction.

]]>My client wants to build two sites that are supposed to share events and blog posts, but contain some separate content (pages, images, etc.). I would like some help figuring out the best way to do this.
After researching this, I have come to the conclusion that Multisite will not solve my problem. I found this solution, but the Automattic plugin referenced is out of date and won’t “authorize” properly on my sites running WP 4.0: the solution that doesn’t work
What I would really like is to have both sites pull from the same posts and custom-post-type posts. Ideally, they would even be able to share the WordPress core files. The only thing that will be different between them is the theme and certain pages/menus/etc.

]]>How can I output posts in a table on a particular page? Right now, I have my posts displayed on a page called ‘News.’ But I want my posts listed in rows of a table, with 4 columns: title, date created, author, and hits. I wrote a php template with a while loop that would display the_title(), the_time(), the_author_posts_link(), and a short code from a hits counter plugin in a table, but I can’t connect this template to the posts. I did choose this template that I wrote in the ‘News’ page. But that didn’t do anything.
Can anyone help me?

I have a customer site which is pretty large with thousands of posts and many visits. the site also has a number of plugins installed allowing it to be fully featured.
The site is hosted on a dedicated linux box (of course) but experiences a very annoying problem. Periodically, the posts table crashes and all posts are blank, leaving the site an empty shell. no error messages, just empty holes where the posts should be.
sure, I can fix this by repairing the table by phpMyAdmin – which I do regularly, and by this – I mean every 3-4 days – because the table has crashed again.
I am running wp optimize plugin on a schedule to ensure that tables are purged and optimized regularly.
so a few questions if you dont mind.:
1) what could be causing this
2) is it possible to log what happens when this crash happens
3) how can I prevent it
your help is very much appreciated as mentioned, this is a customer site that receives a lot of traffic due to the nature of the industry – and regularly I have a call saying “ITS ALL GONE – AAHHH, MY SITE IS BLANK!”

]]>I wonder if it is possible to get the table options into the editing part into the admin panel?
We’ve made an update of a blog from 2.5.1 to 3.1 and we would like to know if we could still use table to edit our posts/pages?
The reason is simple : Our writers we’re used to this style of editing and they could find it hard to learn a new way.
So… Can some one tell me if it is possible to get back the tables with a particular plugin ?
]]>The problem is that when we click on ‘Posts’ in the Dashboard, there are three (3) new columns added and they make the whole display look cactus.
Who else has had this happen? We regard it as a problem.
What is the fix?
In the Options panel for AIOSEO, do some of those codey looking bits have control of this or is it just something dopey thrown in by the Plugin Developer?
It makes the ‘Posts’ window look very stupid and very ugly.
Would love to know a fix.
