Hi all, I need some help.
The two most recent posts I have written and uploaded to my website yesterday do not show up to regular readers that visit my homepage. They should be visible in the “Recent posts” tab, and I have checked that the posts are set to public and not private.
For me, as the admin who is logged into my wordpress account, the two posts do show up in the “Recent posts” list like nothing is wrong.
I’ve disabled all my plugins but that did not fix it. I do not run any cache plugins, and I’ve tried clearing my cache in a browser to check if that’s the problem.
I am running WordPress version 5.4 and the Acabado theme by Income School. The theme has been running without issues and is not recently updated.
Please I need your expertise, what can we try to fix this problem. I need my posts to show up in the “Recent posts” section like all the others.
Regards,
Bart
For example I just created a post titled Test Post and this is the Permalink that was assigned when I published it.
https://ctgands.org/'/dad738e655c2b2e983e433bca57e6dabd86487ba94f223493dd4abacf4da0684yeardad738e655c2b2e983e433bca57e6dabd86487ba94f223493dd4abacf4da0684/dad738e655c2b2e983e433bca57e6dabd86487ba94f223493dd4abacf4da0684monthnumdad738e655c2b2e983e433bca57e6dabd86487ba94f223493dd4abacf4da0684/dad738e655c2b2e983e433bca57e6dabd86487ba94f223493dd4abacf4da0684daydad738e655c2b2e983e433bca57e6dabd86487ba94f223493dd4abacf4da0684/dad738e655c2b2e983e433bca57e6dabd86487ba94f223493dd4abacf4da0684postnamedad738e655c2b2e983e433bca57e6dabd86487ba94f223493dd4abacf4da0684/'
This is so long that I cannot make my browser window big enough to show the Edit button after the Permalink.
On our other site, adding a Test Post produced the Permalink
https://dev2.ctgands.org/'/2019/01/17/test-post/'/
This was short enough to see the Edit button, but clicking it I could not edit out the single quotes before and after the title part. I do not remember ever seeing such single quotes as part of a Permalink.
This behavior followed our updating to WP5.0 and updating to Theme Twenty Thirteen 2.6-2.7 and Theme Twenty Nineteen 1.1-1.2, but I don’t know if any of those are related to the post Permalink Problem.
Since pages seem to be still behaving as usual, We are converting some 40 posts on our site to pages and writing widgets to display them in the proper locations, but I would like to know if anyone has a clue as to why all the Permalinks became corrupted?
]]>I recently launched my website which is www.updatedbrain.com
I installed SEO plugin and now only my homepage is visible on google results page. My blogpost not shown even after one week.
Just search google for updatedbrain.com, you can find only my homepage..
Please help to sole this issue.
]]>Problem: Cannot make new posts show up on a page as an actual post… just as a link to a post that you have to click to view. I want ONE page to be the place where the NPO staff can type in new info and click publish – should be easy!
I created a page “News & Events” that shows up nicely in the nav bar at the top of each page. Perfect. But I have tried creating a post and added the category news & events – it doesn’t show up on the page. I tried everything I can see as “obvious” on the dashboard screen when writing the post but nothing. I tried creating it as a new page that would then be nested under news and events. That made sure it wasn’t in the navbar but it meant there wasn’t a visible link to it anywhere. I went back and deleted the subpage and stuck with it as a post, which is what I wanted anyway… I went into the widget section and the option for posts are to list the most recent but all it does is make a small box on the news and events page (and all subpages in the site) with the post titles as links.
What I want to do is have the end-user be able to log into the site, create a new post and be able to say it belongs to news and events and at that point it becomes the latest incarnation of that page, with all the previous posts flowing down underneath so one just has to scroll down OR with arrows/links at the bottom that allow people to move on through all the previous posts.
The first link is the site I am attempting to get working, the link goes straight to the news page. https://www.mainlineneedleexchange.ca/news-events
This second one is a nonprofit page that works like I am wanting this one to.
https://selfhelpconnection.ca/news-events
I don’t know if I am just hampered because the theme goes about things in a specific way so that what I want isn’t obvious to do or if it’s just because I don’t follow how to do certain things on wordpress yet. I see the post format section looks hopeful but I’ve tried them all and nothing looks different.
Oh… I DO understand HTML5, XHTML and CSS design so I was able to make some things work by finding the right attributes, etc., in the style sheets. But I do NOT know php and nothing I’ve tried there has worked well … at all.
I am hoping this isn’t a hardwired theme issue but it might be. The staff love the rest of the site but we all want the news/events page to show the posts ON the page and not just as links to posts.
]]>I used the “zeetasty” theme and it was done on a minimal budget for a non-profit (one that actually does some good in the world). So, I couldn’t buy the pro version on that budget and the author wouldn’t assist.
The site owner *loves* the colours, layout and especially the “lobster” font that happens to match an important set of graphics they have in use. At this point changing themes is really not going to happen. But I am having trouble that I think might have been avoided had I just gone with twenty-fourteen theme.
I am really new to setting up WP sites… which will be obvious.

]]>Suddenly the posts on these pages are not visible anymore:
https://www.newyorkinspiration.com/page/2/
On the main page it looks ok: www.newyorkinspiration.com but when I click on “More New York Inspiration” the pages are empty.
I have hundreds of blog post before.
I checked the latest added plugins and deleted them..
What is the problem?
Thanks
Charlotte
I deleted the plugin ‘wp popular posts’ from my site. Now my site only shows the front page and clicking on any link brings up the right page but without the content.
When I click on all posts in WP I get an array of this error message instead of the titles list of the posts:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/lodely/public_html/nodeju/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-posts-list-table.php on line 484
I already recopied all virgin WP files to that directory with an overwrite but the error is still there. My posts are all still there because I can see them in my database, they are just not displaying, not at my site and not in wordpress.
Does any know how to fix this?
my site: https://www.nodeju.com
Thanks
Lode
