Posts In Subsites Suddenly Disappeared

On my multisite at golfblogger dot com, the posts in the sub sites there ( newswire dot golfblogger dot com and 19thhole ) are no longer displaying on the site (or listed in the post dashboard). The main site seems to be working fine.

Sort of just happened. I have no idea why. I hadn’t been tinkering with it. Didn’t even notice initially, since I don’t work on those subsites every day.

At any rate, the posts still seem to be in the database. But they don’t show up in the posts list on the dashboard or in the calendar. However, in the at-a-glance on the dashboard, it shows that there are 556 posts … which should be about right.

I can’t see the posts to edit them. BUT, I have a single pingback on the subsite dashboard. When I click on that to edit it, the post shows up in the editor.

I don’t have any idea where to even start with this. I’m a relatively recent convert to WP after a decade with ExpressionEngine.

trouble getting posts up after plugin update

I updated plugins on my website on Friday: the entire site disappeared and was replaced by a grey screen.
I resolved that issue by deactivating all the plugins and then re-activating one by one to see which one was causing the problem.
I wasn’t able to update “Black Studio TinyMCE Widget” (it doesn’t update) and when I reactivate “Dynamic Widgets” the entire website disappears again.

My site is back up and so is most of the content. But my posts are not showing up on the home page. They are all there in the editor but do not show up on my home page, nor can I find links to them under the different tabs.

Can someone help me get them all back up? Does it have something to do with those two plugins mentioned above?

4.0 Update Some Blog Posts Have Disappeared

4 of my blog posts have completely disappeared. They were published from 8/21/14 through 9/18/14.

I can find the post links on google search, but get taken to a “Not Found” page when I click on them. Logged into my admin dashboard and they are not on there. Looked to see if dates got changed or something got mixed around, but nothing. They are completely gone. Can’t even find them on my post dashboard. Also went to my media library to see if the images from those missing posts were still online and the images are not in the media library either.

Updated to 4.0 Tuesday morning and then I posted a new blog post after the update. That new post is still online.

Doesn’t make sense that 4 posts just disappeared while everything is still there.

Help!!!

Widgets Wont Appear in Homepage and Posts Disappear – Twenty Ten Theme

Hello,

I have been running the twenty ten theme for a while now.

But for the past couple weeks, the widgets on the side and a few posts won’t appear on my home page. They appear when I go to another page though.

Most blog posts appear but some disappear. The blog posts that disappear on the home page will appear at first, for a few seconds, and then will disappear…

I have been trying to change the theme to see if that helps, but the same problem occurs with most of them. The widgets have appeared in one or two different themes on the home page, but not the posts that disappeared. And I really like the way everything is set up in Twenty Ten so I don’t want to change it, but only want to fix it.

The problems are the same even when I change computers…

Any suggestions?

I’ve just updated https://www.savvyinteriordesign.com/savvyChic/ to 3.5.1 and all the posts have disappeared. I get my sidebar displaying. If I put up a specific blog entry [https://www.savvyinteriordesign.com/savvyChic/?p=1242], then it’s all working perfectly. I don’t want to change my URL! Help!!

Special characters in posts after upgrade to 3.4.2

I just updated last week and now we cannot use special characters in our posts? I just tried to put in a register mark (? in html code) and post after the mark just totally disappeared after saving it. I put everything back without the mark and it worked fine. I tested with another special character (á) and it did the same thing. Is there something that changed that is preventing special characters? It doesn’t matter if it’s put in with the html or visual editor. It does the same thing either way. I can put special characters in the title bar just fine but not the editor.

All Posts Gone/404 Errors on Every Page. Help!

My website The Moonlit Road.com (www.themoonlitroad.com) will not display posts anymore and has 404 Errors on each page. I am able to access the dashboard but it shows 0 posts annd pages.

This started when my categories totally disappeared. My host (private server) cleared the /tmp file and the categories appeared in the dashboard, but not on the site. We also noticed that MySQL is near the max file size allowed for some reason, in case that’s a danger sign.

I have tried deactivating/reactivating plugins, using another theme, swtiching to default permalinks – nothing works.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I’m having an issue with one of my WordPress sites. Basically, everything is working fine until the user adds a new post. Occasionally, this will cause all of the posts and pages on the site to “disappear”. They still show up on the total count at the top of the posts page (but no actual posts listed) – and they are still in the database. They just don’t show up on the site.

The strange thing is – exporting the database from PHPMyAdmin and reimporting it fixes the problem every single time. And I don’t mean importing a backup, I mean importing the EXACT same database that had the problem.

Any idea of a solution for this?

Posts disappear from front page

I’m putting the final touches on my new WP 3.1 / Atahulapa 3.6.4 blog (https://writing4health.com). Every time I edit any setting, post or page, the posts disappear from my Blog page, which I have set to be the Front page. At that point it appears as an empty page. I can fix this by going to the Readings setting, selecting an alternate page, loading that, then resetting to Latest Posts. But … that’s not acceptable.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
