New posts won’t display properly

Greetings … Have a WP blog hosted off of WP that is updated to 6.5.2. I set up and activated my weekly post yesterday (Sat., 4/13) and a bizarre anomaly happened. The new post will appear on the home page only when I’m logged in, acting as if it was a “private” post, and be available only under “April 2024” in the blogroll when logged out. (It is set to “public.”) The prior post from a week ago, I deleted out of frustration about 10 hours ago as a test … yet, that one still appears on the home page as of this note. The graphic is gone because I deleted that from our server as a test. If you click the headline, it leads to a dead end as if the post was never there. Something is off; we did have a “critical error” issue on 4/6; my webmaster thought it was due to the WP update failing, although it has since been instated. Any thoughts on this are appreciated. Posting problems

On several of my sites, with the new wordpress version, I’m getting a whole different look to my posting pages. Instead of the normal, file, edit, insert, view, format, table, tools headings I’m getting a box moved to the left of the screen with the existing post that I did all scrunched up in the box…I cannot seem to change the posting format back no matter what I do. Went to Settings, Reading and all seems OK there….Any idea from anyone why my site would be doing this….Like I say, I’ve now seen it on at least 3 of mys sites…Thanks.

Insert Media and General Dashbaord 404 issues

As always, I apologize in advance for potentially asking a repeated question, but I tried hard to find other instances of the same issue and have yet to reach a resolution. Hopefully you guys can help point me in the right direction and at least get a jumping off point.

I run a site (pluggedingolf.com) and we are hosted with Bluehost. We’ve been having issues for the past couple of months where our dashboard freezes when writing posts, we lose connection to the database and WP tries to save the post to browser (hangs the browser), get 404’d, etc. We also noticed issues were really bad if we had multiple tabs with posts open to be edited. Following direction of other support posts, we extended the autosave interval, tried disabling all plugins, but the issues persist and we have inconsistent performance in the dashboard, specifically when writing or editing posts.

Another issue we experience is when we go to insert media into a post, when the popup appears, pictures may never even load into the window to select. Sometimes you just wait it out, other times it never works and you just have to try later.

We also tried the Heartbeat control plugin to help with the ajax calls to the server, but did not resolve the issue so it is currently disabled.

When I worked with Bluehost support, they told me they escalated to their WP specialist and could find nothing wrong with our installation or anything in the logs on the server. Unsurprisingly, they weren’t much help.

I can't edit or create new posts on my site all of a sudden.

Hello,

I haven’t made a post on my site since 2015/12/06 and logged into the Admin of my site (https://www.ozarkmtnpaddlers.org) and found that when I try to create a new post, all I can do is type and save a draft of the Title for a post and am unable to select the body content (Visual or Text) portion of the post.

Any ideas on why this would happen all of a sudden?

I have not made any recent updates or installed any plugins. Thanks!

Hi,

I scheduled a post for this morning and when I checked, the post did not show up. Here’s what I did to troubleshoot:

– I went into Quick Edit mode and tried “Publish”, but it still shows “Scheduled”;
– I deactivated all plugins and tried it again;
– I switched the theme to Twenty Fourteen and tried it again; and
– I reinstalled 4.0 using the auto-feature inside the dashboard – still nothing.

Any thoughts? The URL is www.metrosnapshot.com.

Issues when postings

Hi,

I’ve looked through the forum but couldn’t find that was even close to my problem so my apologies if I looked wrong and missed it.

Here’s my issue: ever since I updated to 3.4.2 whenever I publish a post onto my website, a good half of it disappears. I tried editing it to add the missing half but it doesn’t work. Anyone knows what could cause this problem? and if there’s a solution? thanks.

"Missed Schedule" Message For Scheduled Posts

I have an issue with the schedule post feature for wordpress. When I schedule my post for a certain time, it does not post and the message “Missed Schedule” comes up. Now before someone tries to give me links to responses, let me save you the trouble. I have read them. Most of them are post from 3 years ago and I’ve tried everything they said. I don’t know what else to do. Unless I’m doing it wrong. My site is www.quinncouture.com

Post publishing not executing

On certain, definitely not all, posts when I go to either save or update (I’ve resorted to entering many of my posts manually through phpmyadmin) posts from the WP Admin interface, I get taken to a ‘404’ public page with this URL:

https://kitlas.com/wp-admin/post.php

Also, i get that same “‘404’ public page” on some posts when I click the ‘Read More’ link or if I try to open that post directly from the WP Admin interface.

I tried this fix:

Solving “headers already sent” warnings

But it didn’t help

Any other thoughts?

I first thought it may be to post length, then i thought it was the <–more–> code but that’s not the case. I’ve also deactivated all plugins too and have had no differing result.

Posting issues: publishing overwrites prior post

Hello all,
I just installed the latest wordpress and I am having issues when publishing more than 6 posts. Each time I attempt to publish a new post the prior seems to come up and the prior gets over-written with the latest changes. I have checked both Writing and Reading settings and the problem still exists. Are there settings for the number of posts in a given day?
