After updating the Elementor plugin some special characters and punctuation (quotes, commas, periods, dashes, etc) are missing or showing as numbers from Post Excerpts, here is a screenshot.

Is there a way to fix this?

I apologize in advance if this is a dumb question and belongs somewhere else on the forums. I’m still new to WordPress and brand new to the forums to boot. I did do a Google search of my question but didn’t come up with anything.

For context: I have a free website therefore am unable to add custom CSS to it…If I’m understanding correctly. I am also running it almost exclusively through the mobile Jetpack app.

I am a book review blogger and my review posts have a lot of general book information as the first text, which makes the excerpts pretty…ugly, to be honest. In the Customizer, the only options I’m seeing are for excerpts or full post. I added a More block to the very beginning of every post right under the title (a suggestion I saw on another post here), but as you can see in my link, it didn’t work.

Is there a way I am missing to just completely disable post excerpts across my entire site and just have the Featured Image and title displayed?

Again, I apologize if this isn’t the right place to go, but I figured the forum for the theme I’m using would at least be a good starting point.

Thank you for the wonderful theme, by the way! By far the cleanist, most customizable free theme I have found.

Also, the blog identity’s tagline keeps appearing under my logo in the header in grey type. How do I get rid of that?

I love your plugin, but every time I enable it, my post excerpts are missing. When I deactivate the plugin, my post excerpts return to normal. I was wondering if there was any way I could get around this because I do love your plugin, yet I of course still want my post excerpts to remain on the home page and home archives. Hoping there is a workable solution.

I am running a Genesis child theme called MemberSonic in WordPress 4.5.4 and have my Setting>Reading set to Summary (excepts) for my front page posts.

I would like to have selected posts full-text and was wondering if there was a way to add a script to each post that would make it full-text? Note:There is a Script section in the Post editor that says “Page Specific Scripts”

I searched for this in the forum but could not find a solution – seems like it would be a common question.

I think they were originally displayed in 3 columns when I started using the theme, so maybe it’s something I’ve unintentionally done.
