Custom posts show a blank page when viewed as a user + custom posts not appear

I have just created a custom post that seems to display fine when I am creating a new post of that type. However, I have two major problems:

1. When I go to the post admin screen, the new post that I have created of the new type does not show at all.

2. When I do a search for the newly created post from the user front end, it seems to find it but just displays the title of the post, not any of the content.

I’m using the ColorMag theme.

3. Is there any way to edit the appearance of the new post type (i.e. edit the template for that type) – I can’t seem to find any way of editing post format templates..?

I’m a complete newby, so any simple advice you can give would be really appreciated.

When I want to view and edit my posts, I can only see their title and SEO information pane but not the actual post text. This changed over night as I used to be able to view and edit posts.

Categories not displaying in Post Admin

Since the latest wp update, for some reason when adding or editing a post there is no Categories section on the right. I mean the whole side-sortable postbox-container #categorydiv.postbox does not display. I can see in the Inspect Element that is set to display:none however the css is core file related:

I tried writing css in my theme style.css to make it display but that did not work. I didn’t think it would but it was worth a shot.

After searching for this issue in the forums I did the following: I did a complete backup, I deactivated all plugins to see if the problem resolved but it did not, I looked in the header.php for the list_categories line of code but it is not in my header.php file, I saved a copy of my wp-content and wp-config.php and re-installed wp however keeping my original wp-content and wp-config.php and it did not resolve.

The categories choices are displaying in Page edits and additions. Just not Posts. They are also present under admin menu choices Posts > Categories. It’s just on the Post edit and new that they do not display.

By the way, the Tags sortable postbox is not available either in Posts but is on Pages.

Right now we can set the categories via quick edit but we need to have them display on the post admin pages as well. Any ideas?

A clutter of custom fields in post admin area

Hello,
I am enjoying the plugin apart from one thing that i have noticed in my post admin area which is, the plugin is creating lots of Custom Fields and putting values 0,2,4 etc
The custom field are like
fsb_show_social
fsb_social_facebook
fsb_social_google
etc and many duplicates of them

What is this and how it can be fixed??

WordPress admin panel for POSTS running super slow

I have been having trouble with my posts panel of the admin part of wordpress. All my other menu items work fine but when I click on posts it takes 10-15 minutes to try to load and then it will finally say connection timed out. All the other menu options work fine. Any help?

Disaster after Upgrade

I have a membership site with over 1000 posts, each post being a member, with a dozen custom fields.

Constructed over a year ago and working fine all this time.

Upgraded from 2.5 to 2.71 yesterday. Plus, updgraded all plugins.

NOw the Posts are not only not showing up on the blog page, they are not showing up on the admin Posts page. Says I have 1013 Posts, but nothing. phpAdmin shows all of the posts, users and meta data.

This is maddening. I’ve reinstalled wp twice. I’ve turned off plugins, makes no difference.
