A client contacted us to create a mobile app out of his woocommerce site, I was wondering what realistic options do we have to turn an existing page into an app ( if any ).
I’ve been researching and I see there are some automated options for simple websites. However this site is heavily customized.
Can we discuss the posibilites here?
Thanks!
]]>1. I copied all contents of old WP site over to new server.
2. I exported then imported the database from the old to new server
3. I modified the wp-config.php file to properly match new server settings.
4. The URL changed from old to new server host so I ran a find and replace on database script prior to uploading database to new server
The site seems to run with exception to a few images, but the biggest problem is that I can’t get the WP Admin working for the site.
I get the login page and it tells me correctly if the login is incorrect; however, if I put in correct credentials I get a blank page only.
Any insight would be much appreciated- I’m a new to wordpress in general but have some programming experience.
Thanks much
]]>My question is: what steps will I need to take after creating and activating the child, i.e. to get the website looking exactly as it was when the parent theme was active?
I’m assuming all my pages and page content will just “be there” (i.e the stuff I entered with the Page editor).
Do I need to manually add the customizations I have made to Responsive again to the child theme (stuff like the custom header logo image)?
What about the settings to plugins such as SlideShow? Will I need to construct the slideshow and load all the images again?
Are these steps and issues documented somewhere? (I’ve looked).
TIA,
Ross
Hoping for some intelligible replies, all the best,

]]>I’d like to take a few FAQs and post them into a section on one of my pages. So I created a category called “top”, for say, top 5 FAQs.
I then added my 5 FAQs to that category. Next, I go to my page and I insert the short code manually using PHP.
<?php echo do_shortcode('[qa]'); ?>
But I now want to extend the shortcode by adding the following attributes:
cat=top
limit=5
search=none
It appears that you cannot add more than 1 attribute to the shortcode, otherwise it fails and dumps out all the FAQs.
How can I achieve only 5 faqs, from the top category, without showing the search field?
Thanks!

]]>Would anyone be able to offer advice or link to a guide that will tell me if/how it’s possible to transfer wp_posts from one wordpress install to another.
I don’t want to transfer everything just literally posts and all the vital data to keep posts intact.
Thanks
]]>This is for my mother’s website, which I was charged with migrating to a more up-to-date server after my websites were attacked by Russian spammers.
I downloaded a copy of my mother’s home directory using cPanel X, did the same with her SQL, and restored it on my new server. However, when I updated the db info (Which to be honest was basically the same), https://yourtreasureddesigns.com shows an “unexpected T_STRING” error on the line with the SQL password.
Have I done something wrong or forgotten a step?
TIA for all comments.
Dave
]]>I wonder if it possible to recreate the same look and feel in wordpress as i have done on nintai.ca, including porting content.
What about creating landing pages on wordpress https://blog.kissmetrics.com/landing-page-design-infographic/ is something like that possible to be done on wordpress too.
