I think I’m making some kind of obvious beginner’s mistake with the slideshow, but I can’t figure out what it is. Does anyone have any ideas?

I’m trying to use portfolio slideshow pro with the advanced custom fields plugin but I can’t get it working properly. I’ve tried inserting the portfolio shortcode into different kinds of fields but it doesn’t display the portfolio on the front end, only the actual shortcode. I did some googling and it seems like other people use these two plugins together so there must be a way to make it work..I’ve also tried the add on plugin “shortcode for Advanced Custom Fields”

I’m wondering if anybody knows how to embed a Soundslides slideshow into a page on a site which is using the Portfolio Slideshow Pro theme?

Love the back-end ease of use of this plugin, only problem is I can’t get it to work on the front. I have uploaded images to the page and put in the proper short code. I am currently using the pagelines custom theme, but regardless of which theme I use the slideshow is showing up,(buggy looking or not) but not advancing. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

The problem is when mouse over of an image or bullet nav bottom left a Javascript Void(0) message shows in Firefox and Chrome. I’ve been through the following checks but am struggling to find the answer.

– Deactivating every plugin in turn, checking the slideshow each time
– Using the unedited TwentyTwelve theme
– Enabling force load of Jquery
– Different combinations of settings within Portfolio Slideshow Pro
– Checking footer.php

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

I’m a big fan of both Portfolio Slideshow Pro and a plugin known as Custom Field Template:

I’m currently using:
– wordpress v. 3.5.1 (latest at the time of this writing)
– portfolio slideshow pro v. 1.8.7 (latest at the time of this writing)
– custom field template v. 2.1 (latest at the time of this writing)

I believe that when trying to use both plugins at once, Portfolio Slideshow Pro has an issue when trying to attach an image to a slideshow.

To replicate the issue, install both plugins. Then create a slideshow and then click the “Attach/Upload Image” button to begin uploading an image. After uploading it, you want to select that file, so naturally you would click the “Select File” button for the image you just uploaded. At this point, the media manager lightbox closes and it’s supposed to then indicate that the image was selected by displaying it under the “Attach/Upload Image” button, allowing you to continue typing in your caption and URL, however the image never gets attached.

If you disable the Custom Field Template plugin, everything works fine, so I believe by the process of elimination, these two plugins are conflicting. Custom Field Template does have some sort of “Select File” functionality, but for different purposes.

If this could be resolved, it would be most appreciated!

Once I installed Framework, I lost all function for the Slideshow.
Has anyone else had this problem? Even when I deactivated it, it did not help.

Now I load up my photos and I do not see them below my post. I tried uploading them on the post uploader as well as the Portfolio Slideshow uploader that appears below my post. Nothing happens – they just sit in my gallery.

I am pretty desperate to solve this….

great plugin! I have a couple of questions about it:

1. When I insert multiple images and use the pager function “bullets” only on my first slide the correct bullet is highlighted. When I move to the second bullet, the active one has the same color as the others.

2. How can I style the margins between the bullets? I tried some CSS but didn’t succeed.

3. I use two different positions for the Portfolio Slideshow Pro in my website. One in the left column and one in the right. I need to place the image captions in different places. Can I somehow generate different CSS classes/ids for both instances?
