Unstable and new bugs after each update

I purchased 2 Lifetime licenses of Event Pro when it was v3.x. The latest v3 plugin worked fine and was stable. There were 2 unresolved bugs impacting the redirection and side cart with WooCommerce and Elementor Pro. These were never resolved in v3.x

V4.x was realease 2 weeks after beta testing and was simply NOT production ready at all.

The whole data migration was broken. Live events not working anymore etc. Completely unusable and impacting Webshops and online buisinesses.

Since v4.0, I’ve been in almost weekly contact with support to get things sorted.

There were so many regressions that I’ve spent easilly 2 full days debugging and testing + tweaking for them.
2 security/patch updates that resulted on a critical issue 4.0.5 and 4.0.9 of the free version.

Styling is after almost 4 months still not applying the primary and secondary colors defined in the plug-in settings. The 3 available single page event templates are simply not using these and have a lot of plugin-in specific default colors you need to override in CSS. I mean, for buttons and so on, you should at least inherit from the theme used by the website…

v4.0.7 came out with a breaking change not documented in the release notes. Date format with / was not supported anymore while it worked fine in all previous versions. Again, impacting the whole site.

Since version 4.0.10 free made available in the past hours, the styling of the single page for free and pro was again changed. Previously applied CSS styling up to 4.0.8 is simply not taken into consideration anymore. Ugly + – buttons for quantity, attendee registration form also impacted with border styling and color changes.

And in the release notes, you can only read a few fixes.
Well next to the fixes you have a lot of impact on branding/styling which is bad for reputation.

And it introduced new bugs!
Existing published events with 2 ticket variations available for purchase had simply no ticket purchasing options displayed anymore. Needed to delete and create them again.
How can this be release as this would have broken the whole registration count per ticket if I did the update on the live website!!!

The registration limit date is nowhere to be found in the admin part of the event. But it is displaying a date coming out of nowhere which is even in the past but the tickets are still available for purchase.

I feel I’ve been a beta/quality insurance tester since june 24 for this plugin.

The promise is appealing and the marketing and affiliates have high praises. Looks like they never had to work with the plugin on a real website because honestly, it’s the only plugin I’ve ever used (and paid for twice) that is blocking me for making security updates on a customer website.
Let alone demanding a lot of effort to maintain a working website with the expecting look and feel update after update.

And it’s not like I’m using it for a complex use case. Simple offline events with 2 ticket variations on 1 website. No schedules, agenda, seat map, speakers, etc
And RSVP only on the second website.

Support is polite and apologising everytime. They better start fixing and stabilizing things instead of apologising foor the poor quality of their development and quality insurance work.

Plugin is broken – Very Poor Customer Service

so, i installed the plugin and set everything up. thought that all was good until the checkout page. now i have items in my basket, all singular items which is fine. the prices are correct and totals up correctly, but it i increase the quantity of any of the items within the basket from 1 to 2, the price for the single item is halved and the total for that item remains the price for one single item, so an item costing ￡10 each is changed to ￡5 each. if the quantity is increased to 4 items, the price is reduces to ￡2.50 each.i have tried 3 or 4 times raising this issue with the developers but they do now respond unless you are a paying customer and bought the pro version. maybe i would have purchased the pro version if they has responded and corrected the issue. if the plugin does not work correctly, why would anyone purchase the pro version. i will no be removing the plugin and use a different one that actually works correctly! very poor service considering the correspondence from me was to tell them of the error and that cant be bothered to correct it!!!

Seems like a great idea, but poor execution.

The home page didn’t load the content, and after removing the plug in it went back to normal.

Luckly I got 12 products, and I’m a developer so I figured out the issue and I’m fixing product by product, but it basically messed up all product variations prices, without a chance to fix it if not deleting the variations and recreating them, all at once tho or it doesn’t work. Also sometimes have to be done twice cause it created a double of each variation.

This behaviour must be to really poor quality code, and despite the fact I’m fixing it, it created a bloat of ids in the database, and hopefully will continue to work and not reset/mess again with variations by itself without notice.

Video in header doesn’t play (android?) & only poor quality

I have put a video in the header of a Twenty Seventeen theme. Unfortunatelly I was presented with 2 problems:
1. Some people do not get to see the video (only the white screen of death-header). I believe they are on an android device. I myself can see it on iphone/ipad/imac and in Safari, Chrome and FireFox.
2. I can’t use a quality video; I keep getting the ‘cannot crop’ error. I have tried following formats: MOV, MP4, animated GIF, animated PNG, animated HEVC.
I can put in a ‘web ready’ video, but this is such poor quality.

Does anyone know how I can fix these problems?

Cover Images poor quality on mobile

I have numerous cover images throughout my site and they come out crisp and clear on desktop and tablet but are notably of lower quality when they render on mobile. To make things more interesting, if I turn my phone on its side so as to go into landscape mode the images will instantly sharpen up and stay sharp when I switch back to holding the phone vertically again. However, if I then go and refresh the page it is the same lower quality image that is rendered and I must repeat the process of turning the phone on it’s side in order to get the high-resolution image.

Why is this happening and what can I do to fix it????

I am using this plugin for about ONE YEAR in Professional version. Unfortunately the code quality is so poor that it can not be adjustment at all. Customer service in most cases is not able to help. The biggest issue I had was related with an update and for a couple of days customer registration didn’t work at all. As web developer I must say that WeDevs should start using a code review and refactoring because soon this plugin will no longer be extensible.
And let’s be honest: if people are paying for Professional version they expecting professional development and support. WeDevs for sure are not pros at all.

disappointing quality & support for Soliloquy

on the 19/8/2019 we purchased a $99 developer pack, based on the good reputation of Soliloquy and our need for a slider that could handle scheduling and locally hosted video. All of our sliders with video failed from the get-go, with javascript ‘type’ errors in Chrome, (and other browsers). After following the suggested diagnosis and reporting process to submit a support ticket, (21/8/2019), we’re still waiting on a reply/acknowledgment.
If we don’t hear from them soon, I’ll cancel the subscription. Very disappointing support/quality

Front page layout doesn’t work

The front page layout doesn’t work. Only works with 5 images (leaving a whole) as 6 shows up at the bottom.

When I reported it to the developer, they told me to pay for the pro version and then they would help.

Why would I buy something that doesn’t work? I’ve paid for themes only to discover issues with plugins and such.

If a theme can’t get it’s front page to layout as pictured, it obviously has other major fundamental issues as well. Dodged a bullet here. Will keep looking for a theme that works.

When I told the developer that I wouldn’t pay for a theme already broken and would leave an “honest” review, this was the response:

“Can’t expect much from people like you.
Karma is a bitch, please keep a note!”

People like me? People who expect themes to work? I prefer to buy themes as they tend to be less work, but I won’t buy one that doesn’t work.

I’m guessing there are more “people like me” with these expectations.

Hi guys!

I’m trying to re-create /re-work my blog, bug i have some issue with pictures.
i clearly don’t understand why when i use gallery block or the single picture block, my images are with a really poor quality.

In the creation page i have no issue, but on the final page (or preview) the quality picture is really poor.

Do you know why?
