Hide competitors on the map

My client is a dentist. They just want a basic google map on their website so I have installed this plugin and entered the business name and address. Voila. It works perfectly Thanks.

However there is a problem… it shows all the other dentist in the visible area. My client reasonably does not want their competitors to show on their location map as customers might then be led to choose another clinic.

A quick google shows that it is possible to disable POI’s an thus remove the competitors. However I don’t see any options to actually do this in the plugin and I would rather not hack the source code.

Can you please make this update to the plugin as I’m sure my client isn’t the only one with this requirement?

Height of Map when editing

When adding a new POI the place names are historical and have no post code or current address. They therefore don’t appear in searches. I search for a local town and then move the pointer to the correct position and update the title of the information box.

The problem is that the pointer of the POI in question needs to be off the bottom of the map with about 10% of it just coming onto the map so that I can click it. In this position the info box that appears just fits into the map allowing me to edit the title. If the POI is any higher up the map then clicking on it means the info box that appears goes off the top of the map and I cannot edit the title.

Can the map that appears when editing be made taller so this can be carried out more easily?

As you can see, I can manage to make this work but when I pass the site over to the owners I know they will find it difficult to carry this out.

Any help will be appreciated.

Easy to use plug-in to get directions for points of interests that can be (dummy-proof) added in a directory. Also, Pois can have their own description and photos which is pretty cool.

J’aurai aimé savoir si tu avais pensé à une fonctionnalité permettant la recherche parmi les marqueurs ?
Par exemple avec un champ adresse:

L’utilisateur saisit une adresse et clique sur rechercher
Le plugin interroge l’API pour obtenir la latitude et longitude de l’adresse recherchée
Le plugin interroge la base de données à la recherche de POI proches, ceci grace à l’API Google Maps
Le plugin rafra?chit la carte pour afficher uniquement les POI les plus proches

C’est une fonctionnalité qui m’intéresserait

[Theme: Fudge2] Point of interest not showing

Hello all,

I have a problem with the build in maps/point of interest part in the Fudge 2 theme.

I have so far set up my location in the points of interest area (which can be found on the left side in the dashboard area without creating a side myself) and I have put the maps part onto my front page (which I have configured myself). So far so good. But if I integrate the point of interest into the map part it will not show the points of interest in the live version.

What I see is the heading and the more button. And also the map but without the points and the location is totally off.

Help is gladly appreciated.

POI Formatting

When I write the descriptions for my POIs, all the formatting disappears when I view the POI descriptions on the map.

So when I click on a POI and see the description, all the line breaks and paragraphs get ran into each other and there is no spacing.

Unfortunately, I can’t publicly link to the site I am working on…
I am using the latest version of WordPress 4.5.2 with the Impreza Theme from UpSolution.

All POI missing, and can't add new ones

Hi,

All my POI pins are suddenly missing from my maps, and I can’t seem to add new ones either. They simply do not show up on the map, even though they are in fact saved and indeed showing in the backend where I edit the maps.

I recently updated WordPress to version 3.9.1, and have bought a new theme. Those are the only two things I can think of that I have changed on my end.

I’m using the 2.42.1 version of MapPress.

Any fix for this?

Ps. Since I’m currently setting up my new site, there’s a plugin active that cancels all traffic to the site and just shows an “Under Construction” page instead. Perhaps that can be a factor? Ds.
