Picture Upload Error

Hello! I am trying to upload a picture to a post and now every time I try to do so an error comes up stating ‘The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2021/10’. This has never happened before and I don’t know how to fix the issue. If you could get back to me as soon as possible and let me know what to do that would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Woo Commerce 2.0.7 was installed on WP 3.5.1.

When I tryed to upload a product photo I received a white media-site and an error: “…try it later”.

I checked the uploads folder:

folder “uploads/woocommerce_uploads” = no photos
folder “uploads/2013/04/” = all product photos

what is wrong?

Uploaded pictures suddenly contain error

Recently I have been having problems uploading pictures on my new blog. The uploading goes fine, the pictures are all shown fine for a while (maybe 10-15 minutes). Then suddenly some of them stop showing. I tried going to the img url directly and it says the image can’t be displayed because it contains error.

I checked the content of the folder through ftp and the size is correct. The files don’t seem wrong or corrupted.

It’s really baffling. It does not always happen to all the images in that one post. I have slight suspicion that it might be login problem (I often leave my blog dashboard open in firefox all the time).

Does anyone experience this before? Any idea what’s happening?

It gets very very annoying as I often need to re-upload the images. WordPress is also not good at deleting image and uploading the same image with the same name (it doesn’t seem to really delete the old image properly). So I end up having to just re-upload the images without deleting the old ones (the second batch will be renamed when the names have been used), and I get to have multiple copies of the same pictures, without having proper explanation why the old ones are shown as errors.

Fresh install and I can't install themes or upload images

I have been beating my head against the wall since last night over this. I did a fresh install of WP on my one and one server. The install went fine(no errors). I tried to install a theme through the dashboard but after the zip uploaded it just sat there saying that it was unpacking it. It never installed(waited 30 min). I installed the theme via FTP and it installed fine. Then I tried to upload an image but I kept getting an http error. I uninstalled and reinstalled another fresh copy of WP thinking that maybe the files were missing or corrupted for some reason on the first install, still no dice. I then deleted and recreated a new directory and reinstalled WP from scratch, no luck. When I did this last install I tried to upload an image before I added anything else. I’m at a loss. Everything I’ve been reading has to do with WP 2.8 not 3.1.3. Any help would be appreciated.

I am getting this error message while trying to upload a picture onto a post. Unable to create directory /home/.pantoufle/terrisch/web/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

Can anyone help with how to resolve this issue? Thanks!
