I’m starting to create a online store, but I have a physical store that works since 40 years ago. I have a more modern system there, but I’m wondering if and how I can use the stock from my actual physical system to sell products with woocommerece without changing the physical system. Something like checking the physical stock and withdraw how many items were brought on the site. I still wanna make the physical system the main one.

This e-book is available currently in only PDF download format – but people have been asking me if I can make it available in a printed format too which involves adding postage costs on for posting it. How can I add the variation without having to add it as another product? Can you have a product variation on the one listing for both physical and downloadable product?

Subtract Virtual-Product Value from subtotal used for Shipping Calculations

Our site has a minimum order of $25 in order to qualify for free shipping. We mostly have physical products, but we do have a couple virtual products. The expected behavior would be that any virtual product value would be removed from the shipping subtotal, ie customers have to buy $25 in physical products in order to qualify for free shipping. However if someone only buys $3 in physical products and $30 in virtual, they can still access the free shipping. Is there an existing setting, or alternatively a code snippet/plugin so that any virtual product value is not included in the subtotal that is used by the shipping module?

Having Physical and Downloadable products in the same cart

Hi Folks
I’d like to be able to add a physical product (that needs a shipping address and a shipping charge) and a downloadable product (that does not require shipping nor a shipping charge) to be added to the same cart so that when the buyer completes the purchase in paypal the buyer is sent back to the website to a page showing the download link (and where a receipt is sent to the buyer that also contains the link to the downloadable product). Is this possible in woo commerce and if so does anyone know how to do it? Thanks in advance.

I have recently purchased a set of gift cards and used a random number generator to assign values to these cards. I now want to be able to sell these online. However, i notice with this plugin when a customer buys one it will generate a random number for the gift card. Is there a way of instead generating a random number that we can instead choose from a pre-determined list of numbers?

Books – physical OR eBook option

I’m wondering if I can have two options for any book that has an ebook equivalent, so customers can just buy the digital version if it’s available. Would that be a variable product? Or do I have to cross-sell to a separate product which is the digital version?

Separate Checkout or Shipping fix for Virtual & Physical products

Hi,
I have a small issue with how to keep the settings for Virtual and Physical Products.

I have Virtual Products which do not require to be shipped. They are Events from Modern Events Calendar. I also have products which we sell which require physical selling.

Now we provide free shipping if user bill total is over $50.

The issue is that if someone adds an event which is a virtual product and also a physical product and if total is over $50 then shipping is not charged. This is not right.

I want that free shipping be activated only if Physical product total is over $50. Else it should charge shipping at set rates. Any idea on how to set up woocommerce for the above scenario

If above is not possible, is it possible to have 2 carts /2 checkouts one for physical and one for virtual products?

Physical Rewards Subscription: How?

Hi there!

I’d like to use PMS to manage normal subscription to content on my site, but also include physical products with some of the levels. (That we have to mail out.)

We were going to use Patreon (which has a schedule of physical deliverables), but we decided on this plugin, instead.

How can we keep track of what to send out?

Since folks can subscribe at any time, there’s no monthly schedule of physical packages that we can maintain; literally everyone will be on their own individual schedule.

Any ideas of how this might be accomplished? Would utilzing Woocommerce at all help with this? (I don’t think it would, but I might as well ask.)

As a side note, it would be a really great feature to have deliverables as part of the program, along with a way to keep track of what’s been sent out. (Like checkboxes that we can tick off.)
