How to convert phpNuke and vBulletinCMS to WordPress

I’m a web-administrator and have four sites based on phpNuke, vBulletin, phpWCMS and XOOPS. I’d like to convert all CMS parts to WordPress and all Forum parts to some WordPresss Forum plugin.
Please let me know what converters are available?

I’m wanting to convert and existing raennuke site to wordpress. It seems that there are some scripts that look at olderversions of PHP nuke and wordpress and do conversion but I can’t seemto make these work.

If anybody has had any positive experience with conversion can you please let me know ASAP.

Import from PHPNuke

I have transferred the News from my PHPNuke website to WP 2.5.1 using a script I found on the forum, but I’m having a problem with users. At the moment, all posts in WP have “1” as the user and a blank space after “by” when viewed on the site.

In nuke_stories there is a field “informant” which I was using to store the name of the author of a post. It appears from looking at the database that I have to transfer these names to wp_users “display_name”.

What I need to know is: what are the minimum fields that need to be entered in wp_users. Also must there be a matching entry in wp_usermeta, and if so, what are the minimum fields there?

I have read the database description but did not get the answers I needed above.

Post Categories miscount

I just convert a phpnuke database to wordpress, everything worked fine, at least I thought, but now the post count in the categories is wrong.

The converter script counted the categories after it finished:
– 34 : 927
– 35 : 82
– 33 : 600
– 10 : 540
– 32 : 331
– 22 : 9
– 25 : 377
– 29 : 821
– 31 : 398
– 37 : 276
– 38 : 49
– 39 : 183
– 40 : 61

But In the wp I have this:
* blogs (6)
* chistes (11)
* deportes (4)
* Ingles (36)
* juegos (4)
* nacional (14)
* Oldies (5)
* otros (15)
* peliculas (20)
* quotes (4)
* Rumores (25)
* tech (15)
* tv (23)

A lot of posts are missing in that count, I checked the database and the post are there with the correct categorie number, a counted post and an uncounted post looks the same in the database (wp_posts).

How can I fix this? Any Ideas? What table is the one that makes the count?

PHP Nuke Convert/Migrate/Transfer

Hi.

I intend to move a site which is currently using PHP Nuke over to WordPress.

I have searched for days to find a script to transfer news posts, comments and users from Nuke to WordPress with no luck.

Could someone point me in the direction of something one or if there isn’t one would anyone fancy coding one, I could provide a Nuke db to work with.

small web apps

I’ve installed wordpress in a subdirectory as a possible replacement for a personal phpnuke site. I mainly post a few stories here and there on phpnuke and mostly use my website with the Gallery software from menalto.
BUT
phpnuke does allow me to write small php web apps that it calls modules. They can when clicked on occupy the main body portion of the site with the rest of the page around it. It’s nice because you can have a trivial database web app and not spend any time on the visual portion because it’s just embedded in your site and uses your template/theme.
My question is, can I make a 3-4 file webapp hosted within WordPress? I apologize if this is a ridiculous question but I’m very new to the system and haven’t gotten a chance to try out everything.

I am wondering if it is at all possible to abandon the cumbersome phpnuke and migrate all of the posts from the news module, specifically the news module (with no regard to users – although that’d be nice since there are 23,000) to wordpress? I’d rather not go back to prehistoric times and then copy/paste one by one of many many many news articles. I like wordpress about 10,000X more than Nuke now – and I would love to find a solution

database transfer

hello,
i want to transfer my users from my old site in phpnuke to the new one in wordpress. is it possible without editing user by user in phpnuke ? and how about their passwords ?

my problem is that this will be the 3rd tima that i will ask them to re-register, and that really sucks in 3 years ina a row.. . .
