Add php file inside my-theme inside a block template

Hey WP

I have a block theme official WP TT4. I also have a loose canon of a PHP page that displays without any integration into my theme. So I would like to make a new custom template that has my header and footer and then simply throw this php content into that template. I am not a PHP coder, sorry, but I can delete or copy paste a line of code. I just need this seamless integration.

The loose canon php file is located in a custom folder inside themes > tt4 > …. so it should not get overwritten at upgrades.

First things first, but more advanced step 2, I would like to create 2 different themes of loose canon php. This could be for example Light / Dark theme. Should I

Create those strictly in CSS? And how can I then allow a user to select light / dark
Create a copy of Loose Canon php and do things in there? and how can user A, B and C then select their individual theme
Create 2 templates in block theme and then style in there and css. How can I then make the themes (templates) selectable by user.

Any suggestions will be a great help. Even better, if someone will share a few snippets to do this, that’s just perfect. I guess, I am not the only one with this need…

I’ve never edited a php file before so I’m not entirely sure where in the file you need to indicate the allow_url_fopen

Web Stories Shortcode not working in the .php file

I have added this shortcode in the front-page.php file.
[web_stories view=”carousel” sharp_corners=”false” number_of_stories=12 date=”true”]

This shortcode is working well in the gutenberg editor. But it is not working in the front-page.php file. Displaying it as blank with no content.

Where is TABS php file located?

Hi Guys,

This is due to there being a # that shows up in the link that is generated for Booster tabs.

I need to find the PHP template where the Tab HTML is defined. There are so many files in this plugin I’m having a hard time. Does anyone know where the php file is?

Went to log in and edit this website and found the human captcha was replaced with the following:

Fatal Error

Ey there,

I’ve run into a fatal error on two sites that are running this plugin.
The error message displayed in the recovery mode dashboard is:

Fatal error: Namespace declaration statement has to be the very first statement in the script in /home/athibase/public_html/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/download-manager.php on line 69

For now, I have deactivated the plugin so that the sites can be accessible once more.
I’d be very grateful to have a fix for this so the site downloads can be acessible.

Turning off 403 for missing script files?

When a visitor tries to access a non-existing PHP file on the web site, they receive the special “403 Access Forbidden” page generated by this plugin. Is there any way to turn off this particular feature? It’s actually interfering with my 404-to-301 redirect function. Sometimes even PHP files are moved, and I need to redirect these visitors with a 301 to their correct destinations, rather than stop them in their tracks with a 403.

BTW, thanks for such a great plugin!!
