Error while restoring db from backup

I have a small question regarding restoring my database to php admin.
I have installed “WPB2D (WordPress Backup to Dropbox)”. But when I restore
my database from the backup, I get the following error;

“#1050 – Table’MySQL said: wp_commentmeta’ already exists “

This does not happen if I manually export the database from the
HostGator’s php admin.

Do you have any solution for this?

[Plugin: Portable phpMyAdmin] Deprecated functions, not working

When visiting the settings page, I dont see any settings and I see the following error (it displays the same error 3 times in a row):

Deprecated: Function eregi() is deprecated in .../public_html/wp-content/plugins/portable-phpmyadmin/wp-pma-mod/libraries/select_lang.lib.php on line 143

No PHP Admin Panel

I have successfully installed WordPress on the hosting service. In the control panel I created the database, username etc and configured everything successfully. However, though the hosting service supports PHP I couldn’t find the PHP Admin panel where I could export my SQL database file for backup.

Does anyone know how to get access to the PHP Admin area? Is there another way to do it? If you want I can show you a screenshot of my control panel.

Resetting password

Hi all,

I have been trying to retrieve my WP password, with no luck. Two days ago I suddenly discovered that my passworld wasn’t working anymore. I tried to reset it using the “lost password” feature, which asked me to check my e-mail for instruction. But there was no e-mail. I repeated the process about a half-dozen times with no luck. Then, following Codex instruction, I tried to reset it through FTP. FTP said my new password has been set, but when I tried to log in using the new password, I got the same message, saying the password was incorrect. I see the option of resetting the password through “phpMyAdmin.” I don’t know how to go about it. I of course could have reset it through the User feature, but that requires me log on to my site, which I can’t do because of not having a password that works.

Can anyone help?

Accessing directory files from host

I am new to WP. I got WP for dummies and can navigate easily within the wordpress panels (the site was created already by someone else who is now MIA and I’ve been given the task of figuring out how to make updates and changes…).

Where I am confused and can’t find information on is the whole php, MySql server aspect of the site. I can acess the directory files on the server, but then what, how do the server and the website connect?

For example…I wanted to add a plug in and I have to upload to the server first and then activate it on the site. How do I do that?
