Hi,
I’m moving from Drupal 7 to WordPress, because Drupal 10 is so complicated with requiring command line interfaces and I’m just a History Teacher, not a software engineer. So VERY new to both WordPress and MLA. I’m finding both a little overwhelming and I have just two months to master both and get my site back up in time for the Fall classes.
I have these 925+ photos with IPTC/EXIF data I entered in Adobe Photoshop. I created custom fields in MLA. But when I import images, just the title and caption populate, not any of the custom fields (copyright, city, state, country, credit, source, etc.) show up in WordPress Media Library.
I read the MLA documentation but it’s very complicated with all the options. What can I do to get the IPTC/EXIF data to show up in Media Library, and then over to a post with the image please? I *think* MLA can do this but I’m not sure how. Thanks so much!
The front page of my website was designed in GIMP and I placed it as an illustration. You will see it is divided in three columns. These are NOT WordPress columns. I built them into my illustration. I would like to place a button in a specific place on my page. Namely, directly under the illustration on the left with cover art for the album “Connect the Dots”. I am trying to provide a link from my front page to my music store where the album is sold.
Is it possible to add a MaxButton over an illustration. I also left a small empty space where I could place shortcode, but I’m not sure if WP is only reading the space as part of the illustration.
I’m a newbie to css, shortcode, WP and GIMP or Photoshop. I’m learning this on they fly. I have to say I’m having a great time, but it is difficult for me to find tutorials or documentation of what I want to do. It would be nice to keep designing pages with GIMP/Photoshop, but if I can not use link buttons to other pages, I’ll have to stick strictly to WP Blocks.

I am trying to build a photography site to show off my amazing (err) photographs
I have looked around and there is an option to “save for web” in Photoshop. But I cant see a way of doing that to multiple photographs
In Lightroom there is a way.
So what would people recommend as the best (max) size for photographs if I were to use the Lightroom option?
Hope that makes sense many thanks,
DJ

Bonjour,
Cordialement,

]]>I’m trying to move a NextGen gallery from one site to another.
I exported the xml file for both “NextGEN Gallery – Album” and “NextGEN Gallery – Gallery” from the old site.
When I import them into the new site, neither appear as Galleries or Albums. Importer says they are there but I can’t find them.
These are not my sites. I am not a user of NextGen so not sure how the plugin works.
Please advise, thanks.
]]>I’m creating a Digital Assets Management site, and part of the site is to be able to upload and download PSD Files, currently if a PSD file is uploaded this works fine but the download returns an empty file with 0kb size. I’ve uploaded the PSD file a zip and this works however this isn’t great as there will be a large amount going up and the time taken to zip all of the files separately will be a burden on the user.
Is there any way to allow PSD downloads?
I’ve seen it on other sites, not sure how they have done it.
Any help at all will be appreciated.
