Hello, I am new to WordPress and Photo Album Plus. I like Photo Album Plus very much, but one thing that is important for me doesn’t work yet. I would like to import and display a lot of photos with descriptions. The import of the photos and the description works (into the corresponding w#cd0..9 fields). But not yet the automated display of the photo description. If I enter the example text in the “Description” field for the individual photos

w#cc1	w#cd1
w#cc2	w#cd2
w#cc4	w#cd4

”
it works for those photos. However, I would like to do it automatically for all photos as there are several thousand photos.
Is there an automatic function for this?

Hi jacob,
I use WPPA+ for my club and some contests for many time, for personnalize the photos description uploaded on frontend i add an :
$args = apply_filters (‘wppa_photo_entry’, $args) ;
in the file : wppa-wpdb-insert.php
after the $arg= ….. in function wppa_create_photo_entry( $args ) {
this allows me modify $args[‘description’].
to add first_name last_name and club to the description
I would like to activate the auto update for WPPA+
Can you add for me the line $args = apply_filters (‘wppa_photo_entry’, $args) ;
in your plugin ?
or allow php on Table IX-D5 ?

How to echo first line of Description in gallery-caption.php template ?

Hello,

I am using nextgen gallery with social gallery to show all products of a bakery (200+ products).

On Gallery view (thumbnail basic, gallery-caption template), I would like to use 1st line of Description that would be the name of the product.

On Lightbox view (social gallery plugin), I would like to show all description that would include recipe and other stories.

Someone would know what to modify gallery-caption.php template to do so ?

Recently stopped translated string “name” and “description” in the gallery NextGen. Mistake is noticed only in the slideshow Lightbox pro. (WordPress and all plug-ins are the latest versions). I’d like to use an easy and convenient Polylang. I look forward to your suggestions to solve the problem.

I have spent hours scanning here and all the change logs, FAQ’s etc looking for a solution for my client to have consistency in his albums.

Filename cannot be empty error when uploading frontend

Installed the new version 5.0.13

Added a new shortcode to photo desc:

“The Tibesar Archives – photo number w#id”

When uploading a photo I received this Warning:

Warning: exif_imagetype() [function.exif-imagetype]: Filename cannot be empty in /home/content/22/11318122/html/wp-content/plugins/wp-photo-album-plus/wppa-common-functions.php on line 2254

The photo uploaded OK and it automatically added the photo number to the description – nice!

[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] html tags stop working and display as text

Hi there, I’m using NextGen 1.1.0 on WP 2.7.1 and since upgrading I’ve noticed something weird.

After upgrading to the latest versions, the html tags (bold, italics, links) in the photo descriptions stopped working and show up as text instead. When I went back into the gallery and pressed “Save” it worked again. Now this also happens when I add a thumbnail or single pic to a page or post.

Any suggestions other than going into each gallery and re-saving? Not an ideal situation especially where some websites have more than 20 galleries …
