Hello everyone,
I have a question.
I want to create the home page in two sections, personal and business, like some sites do. There should be another home page for personal and another page for business. I want to change this with a ‘change button’ in the header or top section.
I thought about creating two different home pages and different subpages specific to those pages, but I couldn’t figure out how to change it to “Personal and Business” from the home page.
I would appreciate if someone with knowledge or previous experience could help me.

Personal site being classified as commercial

My website is a personal site, the reason why my URL is my name which is required by my country meanwhile the site name is my username. There’s no money involved in my site in any way.

I don’t have ads on my site: There are no ads placed on the site.
I don’t sell products/services on my site: My digital shop and paste service is completely free, for sharing purposes, nothing is ever sold nor is it even possible for me due to government restrictions.
I don’t promote a business on my site: There is no business involved nor do I promote any.
I don’t solicit donations or sponsorships on my site: I don’t have any.

Social shares to Facebook but posts on Personal and (sometimes) business page

Using Jetpack Social to post our WordPress posts to Facebook. Right now it is posting to my personal account and (sometimes) my business one. The issue is, other than spamming my personal page, my business is a certain type of business that most of my personal friends/family doesn’t know I run.

So–is there a way of NOT outing me and still using your app?

Missing option(s) in commercial plan

With a new update Jetpack offers a commercial plan, otherwise it stops working.

I have admin rights and can install plugins. I did with Jetpack. But I am not responsible or have complete ownership of the website.

This option is missing. Jetpack analysed: You have adsense on your website. And because I connected Jetpack with my wordpress account, it makes me the person with ownership. But I am not. There’s an option missing to tell jetpack this. If it can analyse the website to check if there’s adsense, Jetack’s check should be able to compare imprint and the person connected.

I don’t get the money from the ads, it’s someone else. Asking me if it is personal or commercial is wrong. For me it’s personal, because I didn’t setup the website, nor the adsense things etc.

Specific folder per user

Hi,

We’re looking to find a solution for a customer of ours.

Every user should have a “personal” page where they can only see and access one folder (+subfolders) to download from and upload to.

Idealy this folder van be configurated in the backend of WordPress and the user dont have to login to OneDrive.

Does this fit the possibilities op your plugin?
Maybe a premium version of it?

This is a gorgeous theme with a professional and stunning look. I needed something that stood out, that was strong enough (but not overbearing) to feature my historical and searchable website.

The left sidebar for widgets is just genius. I love the sharp lines and how I can easily adjust the colors for it.

It has a google fonts drop down catalog, and I added a font plugin to easily adjust fonts for each Header setting (h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6). I easily adjusted the links and a:hover colors and decoration in the Additional CSS section. But you really don’t need to adjust for the sharp and professional look.

Thank you Alexander for such an awesome and free theme!

Free for personal use or small businesses, too?

what is true? May small businesses use your free version as long as the website has under 1000 requests per month or is it personal only in general?

I find your infos a bit inconsistent, incomplete.

And by “1000 requests”, do you mean site requests or form submissions?

Your explanation in the comparison post could also include small businesses:
“Contra: Nur kostenlos für kleine Websites und Anwendungen” = “contra: only free for small websites and applications”

While the details in your pricing infos speak another language:

“Allowed: Up to 1,000 requests / month”
“Forbidden: Commercial use”

Enlighten us, could small businesses with only less form submissions use your free version?

Cannot see personal account after installing Messenger plugin

Hi,

I would really like to use this plugin, but this has always been my issue…

When I install the plugin, I’m left with my company profile to choose from, or my personal profile…. only… my personal profile is not actually my profile, but a made up one for me.

Why doesn’t this plugin see my personal profile, so I can connect it?

Export Personal Data Broken

I’m building a site with BuddyPress 9.1.1 and GamiPress 2.1.7 plugins installed. The site allows a visitor to sign-up, which creates a Subscriber account. I want to use WordPress 5.8.1’s Export Personal Data tool. Unfortunately, I believe I’ve found a bug in GamiPress. The export tool works fine for Subscribers. Since I allow comments from anyone on posts, I need to be able to export their data too. With GamiPress active this is no longer possible. I deactivated all plugins and activated BuddyPress and Export Personal Data still works as WordPress designed. Once I activate GamiPress the Export Personal Data doesn’t work if I try to export data for none registered commenters. After a Subscriber confirms the request, if I click either the “Send export link” or “Download personal data” links, it fails and is stuck at 20%. Is their a setting I’m missing or is an update to GamiPress needed to fix this issue?

I tested the Export Personal Data tool under Tools and either found a bug or don’t understand how it functions. The site I’m designing allows users to sign-up and it sets them to the role of Subscriber. If I use a Subscriber’s email address to request a Personal Data Export, the process works properly. However, if I use an email address for someone who isn’t a Subscriber but has left a comment on a post, it fails once the user confirms the request. If I click either the “Send export link” or “Download personal data” links, it fails at 20%. Is WordPress 5.8.1 unable to Export Personal Data for users who don’t have a role?
