Do you know what the reason for this is?
]]>The website complains about non existent theme and I have reset to default theme in Myphpadmin.
The site complaining has same permissions as prior and same read write as other sites that can install plugins and themes.
I can’t seem to get working PPA repository to upgrade php to 7.3 which seems to be causing issues as an installation hasn’t completed.
thoughtfully Google have deleted Google drive backups, so I need to get it back run to migrate.
i believe php7.3 or fixing the database the answer but 10 hours I’m struggling.
tried 775 or 777 file permission and it will not allow wp downgrade plugin to load as claimed no access/permission
thank you

In an attempt to remedy the issue I’ve already tried the following ideas:
None of these ‘fixes’ reversed the issue and got me into my Admin Dashboard. I’m sure it’s some weird configuration somewhere causing this, but I have no idea where to try and what to ‘edit’ aside from this in an attempt to fix it. Does anyone have any other ideas? I’ve never encountered this issue in the ten years I’ve owned the site. This is all new for me.
]]>This post is three years old. Apparently the problem was resolved at the time. But unfortunately I have the same problem, and following the steps outlined in this post does not resolve it… can somebody advise?
]]>I have uninstalled and deleted WordPress on SiteGround, deactivated and deleted the plug-in on WordPress, cleared my cache, and started fresh. Still get the error. Permissions are set correctly by default, but I’ve double checked them each time.
]]>Update Failed: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions.
I’ve checked the file permissions of contact-form-7 folder and its same the same as all other “plugins” folders.
drwxr-xr-x 7 nginx nginx 4096 Sep 8 09:59 contact-form-7
Any ideas what may be wrong & how I can fix this?
Thanks!

Very frustrating… the url redirects to a subdirectory www.geraldtonharriers.com/test can this be the problem. Assistance would be appreciated.
Thank you

Looking into gtmetrix shows that the site needs 15-20 seconds to load. Initial Wait time is 2-3-4 seconds.
Looking for some reasons I found out that in WP admin panel Tools > Redux Framework – System status I had an error in the “Redux Data Directory Writable”: To allow data saving, make…../wp-content/uploads/redux/ writable.
Of course, I have tried to make folder writable, I set permitions to 755, 775, also tried 777, but system always shows warning.
I also tried to delete folder, and then to create new one, but no luck.
Same for a installation I did on another domain.
I am using SiteGround hosting.
Any known similar problems??
Best Regards

Could not create directory.
Surely please I could be told the location/name of the directory? I’d then have a clue where to start looking!
