How to create a basic button to write new entry

Hi, I am looking for a button that allows users to write new entries to a page. I need to make the page password protected. Basically I want to create a Lift Share Board.

This will allow people using the website (which is about events) to offer or request a lift share or arrange a taxi share to the event. Hence why it needs to be password protected. Any advice where I might find such a feature?

Hello,

I have discovered an issue on a password protected page. I would get the WSOD upon entering the password. If I then changed pages and back to the protected page I could view it. I have since discovered that it is an issue with PHP 8.2. I put the site back to PHP 8.1 and the PPP works fine.

Password protected page redirects to home page after password is entered

Hello,

We have 1 password protected page on our site. When the password is entered, the cloudflare verification thing shows up and then, instead of loading the protected page, the site redirects back to the homepage. How can I fix this?

Password protected pages not working

The plugin isn’t working for password protected pages. When a user navigates to a password protected page and WPS Hide Login is activated, after typing in the password, the page redirects to the home page.. After I disable the plugin, the password protected pages work as expected.

I saw a related post from 2 years ago but it does not appear to be corrected.

I’ve password-protected the page using the PPW plugin and everything is working as expected. However, I’d like to use Google Analytics to track how often people successfully log in. The easiest way to do this is to have two different URLs between the password-protected form and the page the form is protecting.

Is there a way to do this for just a single page?

We’ve got just one admin user for our club website.
Most of the content is public, but one page we want to have password protection.
When editing the page I see on the right at Visibility three alternative options:
– Public
– Private
– Password Protected

I choose the last one, enter a password, update the page and all is fine:
When testing, the new password is required and accepted if correct.
Then I log off my admin account, restart the browser and cannot enter the protected page any more by entering the password.
Entering the url from a different device also shows the “Enter password” page and repeats that, no matter if the password is correct or wrong.

In former times all was working fine.
Now, everything (PHP 7.4, wordpress 6.3.2, all plugins) is updated.
The theme is still moesia (by aThemes)
I temporarily deactivated all plugins (no help)

I found similar questions using dedicated password plugins and dealing with the browser cache, which do not apply here, IMO.

Three Password Protected Sections after Update

I have the same issue! The password area shows up three times and messed up the header. There is one area above the top menu, one in the middle and one below the footer.

When I open the theme customizer, all is fine. It’s only on the frontend.

I deactivated all plugins but nothing changed.

Restrict access to video file

Hi, I am trying to sell digital content (videos) to customers by providing a link to a page (where the video is embedded) and a password (password protected page).

I am not using any type of membership restrict access and I do not intend to. I just simply want for customers who have the password to access the video and watch it. However because I password protected the videos, they are not loading.

What should I do?

Hi,
I’m using Password protected pages on WordPress but I have a problem.

When I select a password and I save, me, as an admin, I can see, write password and website confirms it’s correct.

But if I try to enter on incognito, sometimes website is skipping the password step, and other times it show it but it’s always incorrect.

When I clean cache, usually website skips first password step. When I refresh the password, saving the product, I ussually get the second scenario.

Any idea why?

I have a Page I’m setting up to be Password Protected. Not a blog post. When signed in, at the bottom of the Page I see “This post is password protected. Enter the password to view any comments.” Comments aren’t turned on for anything on my site, or this Page specifically either.

From what I can find online, this is part of the theme – is it possible to remove this text?
