I’m trying to reset my WordPress password but no email is arriving. Spam and filters checked but to no avail.

The problem is that I am the admin, so not sure how I can get in to fix this

Having issues signing up new users to our site

It has been working fine a few months ago, as we have over a hundered users.
Something has changed (perhaps with plugin/wordpress updates) and now I cannot go through the process of setting up a new user.
We get a Password not correct error (when logging in after confirmation email) despite using the exact password set during the registration.q
I’ve tried a number of ways – currently only one that has worked was to login to the backend and generate a password for the user – not practical moving into the new season (several hundred users will be joining).

I’ve tried to tweak password field in the UM form to use Strong password (also set in UM-Settings) I’ve tried without strong password.

You should be able to setup a new account and try out the registration process to see what I mean. The email verification is working as I (registrant) get an email after the registration form is completed. But the error keeps happening when you try to login.
ERROR: Password is incorrect. Please try again.

Lost blog after Windows 10 Install

Cannot get to my blog. Told password no longer works, have requested to reset, does not work, have checked spam folders after seeking help, does not work. Not sure if Windows 10 installation the cause as all other lost passwords were easily set.

Site is dot org, but link remains to my original .com.

Password Reset Emails Not Being Sent

When a user wants to reset their passwords the emails are not being sent. I looked through all the settings and could not find anything that looked off.

I am sure I did something wrong, but this is a big problem. So please let me know what I should do to correct as quickly as you can.

Can't log in

I recently did an initial registration for my website enchantingeats.com I went in and changed the initial email address to what I thought was [email protected] when I couldn’t remember my password, I went to retrieve it, and put in this email address. I am being told that this email address is not on file. I have tried every email address that I have ever used and none of them are on file. I must have entered it with an incorrect spelling or something. I looked on the forum of how to retrieve password, but I am unable to do any of them except via email. But the email route isn’t working. I am absolutely beside myself in knowing what to do or how to fix it.

i have forgot the password for my windows live account and tried to reset it by giving the recovery mail address and found that i hav given wrong spelling for my mail. instead of .gmail i have given it .gail and so i couldnt recover my password any one plss help and thanks in advance

I’ve been a happy WP user so far but I’m really struggling w/how to log in to my site. I had a new password sent but apparently it was sent to an old email address, and I’m stumped how to get a new password. I contacted GoDaddy but they couldn’t help. My web guy is MIA, and I really need to get this fixed! Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

I have tried everything suggest in the forums to open my admin panel. I reset the password by email. it would not take it. I used the new password from www.remarpro.com.

Again it would not take it. I put it in the function.php file and custom_function.php file no. I used the emergency password script suggested on this site. No go.

The interesting thing is I can still get into one of my blogs using the old password. But not the network admin site.

Is there a file I can change to stop this problem?

MySQL Password Doesn’t work after installing WordPress

Hi,
I installed wordpress on my linux OS. Following steps provided from here:

These are the steps I used mentioned in the link.

1) sudo apt-get install wordpress php5-gd

2) sudo ln -s /usr/share/wordpress /var/www/wordpress

3) sudo bash /usr/share/doc/wordpress/examples/setup-mysql -n wordpress localhost

After installation wordpress launched with no problems. However, when I went to phpMyAdmin I couldn’t login because it said my password was wrong. I been using the same password for years for my projects. And I logged into phpMyAdmin 10 minutes before installing wordpress.

I also tried accessing the MySQL database through the terminal and it too didn’t recognize my password(s). Does anyone know why this happened or have experienced anything similar that might help me solve this problem?

Any advice would help.

I’m using Share This and it works to share an article with my Typepad Blog but it won’t post to my WordPress Blog, redgenesbluegenes.com, which is hosted on godaddy.com

It asks you for your username and password and I’m using the ones that I see from my hosting control panel at Godaddy, and are also in WordPress Dashboard under settings. It seems to find the blog but it is rejecting my username and password, though I’ve also tried password combinations that I use to access Godaddy. Any ideas? I’m testing this blog on both WordPress and Typepad.
