I currently use an affiliate plugin on our site that provides users with a query string URL formatted as follows:
https://ourdomain.com/some-page?aff_pro=username
some-page is our affiliate registration page which is a hidden page on our site that you can’t find unless someone provides you with the URL.
Is there a way with your plugin that our affiliates could automatically use:
https://ourdomain.com/username
And it would redirect them to the correct URL?
Or is it the case that we would have to enter each new affiliate as a custom link?
Thanks,
Pat
Recently Facebook themselves started appending the URL with their own parameter called “FBCLID”. The Facebook parameter is then assigned a unique tracking ID that they use. Here’s an example with our link embedded in there…
https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Flight.ai%2Ffacebook%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR08g5Wr_kuqB3tZjA-L-x0_sPT9u8ZFqDz05Uk3nrf0SUILMLv3-NMITuE&h=AT10gzHFni9S1-C2z6Dau9h3moXHP7EBFmL-SoNsRG8aZbv41DyaTVQjntHMNBp0frpFjnO7vfKI53tHcSYxe6dtmimJbu83ibb9p-mi55L90cGw4V0cygbhK9p_6v4mYALc2gjtqg&__tn__=-UK-R&c[0]=AT1jqOQMAa4rBui0Lf8SDYleNRoM_XslcuvOUSdaIJLqfs88686_B5HSX-KMhsD8egL-O3WNp99Se5_ZeaBiZzOFCFF9InbYUtkG0SI_gt334HziqoPb3qXBAVugSjwt1Ydz4CHRokAoo6R0oo5UrLg3ftGuNyE6VgDyZZmQtzvqggkDm_F0Y3jqVx8rk3o
When the URL Shortify plugin resolves the URL, it appends the Facebook parameter and corrupts our analytics and reporting.
Is it possible to have URL Shortify strip the additional Facebook URL parameter?
Here’s an article that shows how to resolve the problem for Google Analytics by including an optional “Exclude URL Query Parameters” setting,,,

Something like this would be helpful.
]]>Target URL: https://example2.com/?
Pretty link: https://example.com/?Search=text
When Parameter Forwarding is enabled the result will be: https://example2.com/?&Search=text
I would like it to look like: https://example2.com/?Search=text
How could I achieve that? I imagine it has to do something with param_forwarding, but I cannot find the place in code that is responsible for the actions.
Thank you.
]]>With Pretty Link Lite v2.1.1, plugin doesn’t works (404 error) if you use a form with action=pretty-url + parameter forwarding + method=POST. It works OK with method=GET and some olds versions of Pretty Link Lite also works OK with method=POST.
Best regards
]]>I want <mydomain>/<slug>/123 to forward to:
<targetdomain>/?id=123
– I’m using Pretty Link Pro
– I’ve enabled parameter forwarding in Pretty Link
– My WordPress permalinks are set to Post Name
– My Pretty Link has this format <slug>/%id%
– My Target URL has this format: <targetdomain>/id=%id%
Each time I enter <mydomain>/<slug>/123 in a browser address bar, I get a 404 error.
Can you help troubleshoot this?
]]>The shorten link https://sho.rt/abcd redirected to https://affilaitesite.com/?tid=
While using Parameter Forwarding,
https://sho.rt/abcd?trackingid must be redirected to https://affilaitesite.com/?tid=trackingid
But the link is redirect to https://affilaitesite.com/?tid=&trackingid,
Character “&” is added in tracking id, Only the alphabets and numbers are accepted as tracking ID.
Is there anyway, the parameter forwarding function works without the “&”?
Thanks.

]]>I just bought Pretty Link Pro yesterday, and never tried the Lite first; it was the first time I looked at the program and bought it right away when I saw that it’s been what I’ve been looking for. It looks great!
I’m a Commission Junction affiliate, and when I grab a link from their site it has the following checkoffs:
Encrypt link? Yes or No
Set link to open a new browser window? Yes or No
Hide tracking code in link? Yes or No
SID _____ (Fill in if you want to give it a code for your purposes)
I am not sure how I should answer the questions when using Pretty Link Pro. I am fairly new to affiliate marketing also, so I want to be careful not to break any rules (especially on CJ). I also don’t want to upset or slow down Google by incorrect links.
Can you please help me get started with PLP and suggest how I should answer the above? I don’t know if by saying Yes to encrypt the link, if this would be double encrypting in PLP. Same with hiding the tracking code.
Also, can you please explain what ‘Parameter forwarding’ means and give me a little example of how you use it? I think it relates to my question above and would like to understand it so I know how to use it in PLP.
Thank you for your help,
dJoseph
