No Paragraph Breaks

We had noticed that there were no paragraph breaks in our timeline stories. It was not a plugin or theme conflict. After searching for, and not coming across a previously posted solution, we decided to just create our own. So this is for everyone who notices this and needs the solution.

Add the following bit of code under Timeline Settings > Style Settings (and adjust the 20px to whatever you prefer):

.timeline-post p {padding-bottom:20px !important;}

It would be awesome if the developers could build this in to a future release because paragraph breaks are important to information and readability.

RSS feed has no paragraph breaks

When I create blog posts, they have paragraph breaks which can be seen on the front end and in the Code Editor. But the RSS Feed does not show paragraph breaks for all but one of my posts (for the last 7 weeks).

For example, look at “Lists – When to Hold On to God.” There are paragraph breaks on the front end, but not in RSS. Front end: https://lighthousebiblestudies.com/lists-when-to-hold-on-to-god/

The most recent post as of tonight, “Definitions & Insights: ‘Abide in Me.'” shows paragraph breaks on the front end and in RSS, but not in the Mailchimp newsletter.

I am using the Ashe Pro theme (and I’m in communication with them), and I deactivated Featured Images in RSS for Mailchimp & More (plugin) and 5 other plugins.

Why are these paragraph tags being removed once it goes into RSS? Thank you.

Format Descriptions in Square to Woocommerce Sync

Hi, is there a way to format descriptions that sync from Square to Woocommerce with this plugin? Should I advise my client to type in html for basic formatting like paragraph breaks or will this get stripped? Is there another way to format product descriptions?

Need help with line breaks or paragraph breaks

I want to create line breaks, or paragraph breaks, in a description. Tested on Firefox, Safari, Chrome, and Android phone.

Paragraph breaks

First, Print My Blog is exactly what we need to complete our transition to an online newsletter. So thanks for that.

I noticed an issue with the rendering of posts. Between paragraphs there are line feeds, but not paragraph breaks. Not a showstopper but bothersome.

On my testing site I changed the theme to Twenty-Twenty and the paragraph breaks were rendered, so I know it’s must be my theme – Hueman Pro.

Do you know what I might try change in my child theme that will add that extra line between the paragraphs?

Text blocks paragraph breaks in plain text

We are using the “Text Blocks” plugins to insert chunks of text into the site on many different pages. The advantage of us is that we can make a change in one place instead of three or four. We are not able to use this plugin’s standard shortcode to insert a text block (i.e. [text-blocks id=”__”]) because the formatting of the text blocks messes with the existing formatting of our pages. However, we can insert a text block with the plain text function (i.e. [text-blocks id=”__” plain=”1″]). This works well with one major problem: paragraph breaks in the original text block are lost, and the text is inserted as one chunk without any paragraph breaks. To solve this problem, we would imagine that the Text Blocks plugin code can be edited so that the “plain” function returns plaintext but preserves paragraph breaks–or that a different solution can be implemented with the same result.

Any suggestions for us?

Paragraph breaks in text not working

Hello,

In the text block on the front page, the paragraph/line breaks (pressing enter) aren’t working. When typing it in the customizer, it works, but the output on the actual page doesn’t show it. See screenshot. I am unaware if this is also happening in other text blocks as I haven’t edited much text yet, but it’s possible.

Can anybody help?

Paragraph breaks disappear in profile

Hi there,

This plugin has been SO useful, thank you so much! Just one thing – when users write multiple paragraphs in the Rich Text fields, the paragraph breaks disappear in profile view (using shortcodes).

I’m guessing this is because WordPress doesn’t really use paragraph tags – lists etc all work fine, it’s just paragraphs. Is there anything we can do to get the paragraph breaks copying through? Something in the shortcode? Happy to use custom code if that helps.

paragraph breaks gone after update

such a stupid question that seems to appear every few months lol…

but yeah, here goes… i had put my website aside for about two months – just logged on to start working on it again, and had an update to wordpress, spacious, and five plugins…

and now my paragraph breaks are gone everywhere if i edit/update a page. GAH! i’ve already tried deactivating all plugins and activating one by one. WTH.

thoughts?
