I create a new User ROLE – teacher

in WP i create a page – teachers and in my theme folder a put a teachers.php that make a list of teachers users.

when i open www.mysite.com/teachers this works…

if i open www.mysite.com/teachers/nice_name a 404 page appears.

what a need to do for the slut works and the file get the slut ?

I cant to configure my wordpress ‘s
www.domain.com/category/categoryname
to
www.domain.com/categoryname

and
www.domain.com/category/categoryname/page/7
url to
www.domain.com/categoryname/7
how it is possible?

and

I have a contact page in wordpress (mysite.com/contact)
and I have created a new contact page using GravityForms. That new page defaulted to mysite.com/contact-2

I can’t rename it mysite.com/contact

I put the first contact page in the trash, but I still can’t rename the second one.

Any help would be appreciated! That little dash on the end isn’t really very clean from an SEO perspective.

Every time I try to change the page slug from “about-2” to “about”, wordpress automatically makes it “about-2”. The thing is, there’s no existing page with “about” as its slug! Has anyone had this problem before? What should I do?

it’s all made like PAGES not posts.

I need permalink pages to be /who-we-are /testimonials /our-address but not /about-us/who-we-are …..

How i can make this?

Step 1: I went to the permalinks options and changed it from default to “day and name”

Step 2: I created a page called “test”. At the top of the writing window it properly displayed “Permalink: https://www.mysite.com/test/”. Once published, it added a “test” link to the pages section in the sidebar.

But when I try to go to the link https://www.mysite.com/test/, I get a 404 error.

Ideas?
