Pages not reordering… page-new.php not found

So… I installed WordPress 3.3.1 without any problems. Got my theme installed fine. The problem comes up when I go to PAGES > PAGE ORDER and change the order of my pages. After clicking “click to order pages” I get the following error message and the pages aren’t reordered.

Not Found

The requested URL /wp-admin/page-new.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

There isn’t a page-new.php file in the install zip, and there doesn’t appear to be one in recent WordPress releases.

How do I fix this so I can reorder my pages?

I’m just learning WordPress and have what seemed to be a simple question but it’s turned into a mission. If I can use the include() function to include a header footer or any other page in my template page, then why can’t I include the page-new.php from the admin area? I’d like to add a section on a page where I can create content on the new page and not have to go into the admin area. I don’t understand why this is so complicated in WordPress.

Any help would be appreciated

Does anyone know why the “wp-admin/page-new.php” fails to load though the page exists on the server.

I have tried it many times but it never loads. Re-installation also doesn’t work. Resetting the permissions also do not work.

Can anyone please help me out.

Error 500 when writing or editing page

When trying to save or publish a page, I get the following error.

500 (Internal server error) on usanudist.com https://usanudist.com/blog/wp-admin/page-new.php /blog/wp-admin/page.php 500

Using WP 2.1

This problem occurs on all themes

Operating system Linux
Kernel version 2.6.9-42.0.3.ELsmp
Machine Type i686
Apache version 1.3.37 (Unix)
PHP version 4.4.4
MySQL version 4.1.21-standard

This is a new problem. I have created over 100 pages before this with no error. When I first noted the problem, after receiving the error, the page would be present.
Now the error message is received and no page is saved.

At one time after I deleted the page on the page management screen, it would reappear.

I checked and repaired the MySQL database, which too care of the deletion problem.

I have reloaded the /wp-admin/ files.

I have other domains with WP blogs using the same components on the same server that do not have this problem.

just installed 2.0.2 and everything is running wonderfully minus adding a page. i have tried adding a page to my wordpress several times with no luck.

is there any kind of known problem with this version or with the “creat new page” page?

when i click the link it doesn’t load…..ever

edit: now (without making any changes) the page appears to load 100% but when it seems to finish i get an internet explorer error and the page closes.

Can’t do Posts or Pages with IE6

All the Admin functions work using IE6 except for writing and editing a new post or page.

When I get to the post.php or page-new.php page, the browser stalls then crashes.

The problem doesn’t occur with Firefox, but I need to get it solved with IE6.
