Hi is there a way with metadata to overwrite a different vendor for a product?

I (admin) am currently the vendor on a product that exists solely to charge customers the difference of upgrading a package (Pkg A to Pkg B of any single product). I don’t want to create a new product for every single product we have (hundreds with at least a hundred vendors). That would require a different product for each program.

Is there a way with product metadata to overwrite the vendor field, depending on whose product is being upgraded. So when I upgrade Sally Smith’s product, I go to product metadata and type in her name as the vendor. When I upgrade one of Bill Black’s product, I insert him as the vendor. Then the correct vendor will get the email notification of the order, and the order would show in his/her portal.

If so what is the metafield name so I can add it and put in new vendor name?

If not, do you have any other suggestions to use one product with multiple vendors?

Problems when overwriting records with the same data

Hello,

I have a big problem when overwriting records with the same data.

I upload a csv with 20 records. Then I overwrite the same changing some information (like date), but some of the records not overwrite that update… for example, one of them appears repeat, another one not change the date… how could I solve it? I don’t understand what is happen.

Old domain+account gone after adding new domain

Hi all,

I have been using WordPress with 2 domains so far and without encountering any problems. Recently I have registered a new (third) domain and installed WordPress as software likewise my other domains. Since then my second domain is not reachable any longer (error message see below). Also my WordPress Account for this old domain is gone. It seems to me like I made a wrong step in the installation of WordPress for the third domain and thereby overwrote my old domain. To make it more clear I am providing all three of my domains here:

caravan-stories.de [working all fine]

okami-shiatsu.com [ERROR: FORBIDDEN – You don’t have access…], WordPress account is not listed anymore.

la-manada.com [that’s my new domain, maintainance mode is turned on]

One additional information, I realised the problem when I was sending the link of www.okami-shiatsu.com to a friend and it linked automatically to la-manada.com! I hope someone can help restoring www.okami-shiatsu.com – thanks!

Pattern file generated from template file after overwriting theme

Hello,

I noticed that after adding an image to one of my template files, then overwriting my theme, a new php pattern file was automatically generated and the html was stripped out of the original html template file and added to the new php pattern file. previously I created automatic medascription with a value (excerpt). Noi all the pages that have that value should have another description %%cf_description%%. How can I overwrite all product pages?

Alternative Header in other template and disconnect the header?!

I’m adding another header to some of my templates. I am using the one I designed and now trying to disconnect Header 2 from Header 1… When saving Header 2, Header 1 keeps appearing as default checked for saving. Unchecking heading 1 and saving Header 2 only, then saves and overwrites Header 1 anyways. The mess get’s even worse when designing Header 3 and 4.

How do I:

Create Header 1 (This I know)

Then copy this in another template part renamed. Not building a new from scratch but copy

Disconnect the relation to Header 1

Save and STOP being asked if I want to save Header 1 that’s not even in the template anymore…

Hi,
I am working on a website where I’d like to import demo content from a theme.
My aim is to add theme demo content to an existing website that has content.
I was advised that the demo content import may overwrite existing content which isn’t what I want.

As this is the case, I have a possible solution to my issue:

Export website to XML file
Import theme’s demo content

If theme demo content overwrites existing content:

Import XML file

My question is whether the import of the XML file will overwrite or append the theme’s demo content.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Translation overwritten after Plugin update

I use Loco Translate to translate the text of a plugin (LearnDash) on my website.

After updating the translated plugin I realised that all previous manual translations (made by me via Loco Translate) were overwritten.

How can I prevent this in the future?

I’m a Siteground customer, Help please:
I need to reinstall WordPress after misplacing a module from Fancy Product Designer, I edited a short code in a window that disappeared, but it was to hide the swap products module in FPD, which worked. I now want it back. Can’t find the directions to hide the code so I can reverse it and can’t find it in any of the pages.

I need to reinstall a fresh new start of WordPress, wp reset is not my answer to my problem, tried and same results. How in this confusing world of php do I reinstall and where? Will it hopefully overwrite my mistake?
