sorry if this is in wrong place to post but I cannot find anywhere on this site to post.
In just a few of my pages it says they are orphaned pages with no internal links showing. They clearly do in the form of images and text links. I have checked them and they all work so why is yoast saying no links.
Thanks
]]>I’m having a question about discontinued products. We are currently managing these products, as we hide them from archive and search, but their URL’s are accessible, since I don’t want to delete the pages for SEO reasons.
However I’m concerned that these product pages will be seen from Google perspective as orphaned content with no internal links and this can negativelly effect the other pages rankings?
Is there any other way of dealing with the discontinued products? It will be nice to have this as functionality – set the product as discontinued and have a page with the discontinued products. We can link to this page from the footer or somewhere, where it will not bother the customers and then it will fix the orphaned pages problem. I don’t know… Do you have any other thoughts on this?
Thanks in advance,
Best Regards,
Your site says “Orphaned content is content that doesn’t get any links from other posts or pages on the same website”.
I have a menu created in the header.php file of my site containing the menu links to the pages using the regular WP call (<?php tourn_nav();?>, <?php dist_nav();?>, etc). This header.php file is being injected into every template file as you know.
So why is you plugin showing these pages as being orphaned? There is a link to each of these pages in ever single page. Or am I misunderstanding what yoast is telling me.

Perhaps there is a plugin or a function I can utilize?
