I have followed all help articles on the topic of not receiving messages due to theme and plugin. I deactivated my premium theme only and switched to default TwentyTwenty. Didn’t work.

I kept default TwentyTwenty then also deactivated EVERY SINGLE plugin other than Contact Form 7. Didn’t work. I deleted my cache on the site, on my browser and hard refreshed with ctrl+F5. Nothing.

Thanks to me finding the Flamingo plugin, I have a record of all messages. Between February and now, I have missed 53 MESSAGES FROM POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS.

Contact Form 7, Flamingo, WordPress, my theme, and all other plugins are updated to latest versions. I tried WPForms–no problem at all.

In Flamingo, every inbound message says “reCAPTCHA response token is empty.” In other words, every single message is being interpreted as spam and I don’t know how to fix this.

I need a solution now. Otherwise I have no choice but to leave the worst review possible and switch plugins.

(Another) Contact For 7/ReCaptcha V3 Error (Orange Box)

I just launched this new site (per the link) and only added the ReCaptcha once I went live and unfortunately I have the same problem as others. Contact Form 7 only works when the Recaptcha V3 is disabled.

“THERE WAS AN ERROR TRYING TO SEND YOUR MESSAGE. PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER.”

This does not make me look good in the eyes of the client.

Settings:

Contact Form 7: 5.1.1
Wordpress: 5.2
Avada: 5.7.2
PHP 7.2.15

I have disabled the ReCaptcha Integration and I am keeping my fingers crossed.

As soon as y’all have a fix, I am on deck!

Orange Box: Failed to send your message

For the life of me, I am not able to get CF7 to send out the email when a user enters info on a form. I get the following error message with an orange box around it:
– Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method.

As background:
– I was able to send a test email from CF7 to my gmail. So I think the MX records and other things are set up correctly.
– I use Easy WP SMTP and have double-checked the settings (including Encryption: SSL/TLS
and SMPT Port: 465)

Please help!

Hello,

I had an issue with a client where contact form 7 was displaying an orange box, I read the FAQ and had no success. I used the track delivery in cPanel and could see that Contact Form 7 was not even talking to the mail server, tried a number of setups and nothing was working so I thought maybe it was something in the form.

Found that Google Recaptcha was stopping it working, I had to remove [recaptcha] from the form and then it would talk to the server and sent mail with no issues.

Wondering if you might have an issue with recaptcha or need to advise people to update recaptcha API codes. I did not try that myself for this client,

Orange box NOT showing when spam (but text is showing)

Hello
I am having trouble getting the orange box to show when I try to test for spam. The text “Failed to send you message…” is showing, and all other boxes are shown in the right color when testing, but for some reason the box that is supposed to be orange is just gone, only the white text is left standing (which is hard to see, if the background color is white in the first place).

Any one having the same problem or a solution to my problem?

I’ve just implemented Contact form 7 on one of my websites and unfortunately it repeatedly failed to work displaying an orange box error ‘There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.’

I disabled Akismet, put cloudflare into development mode, followed all the other troubleshooting steps right up until I began to write this post and realised that Recaptcha was the only non-default thing about the form setup.

If I’ve understood the error section of the troubleshooting guide and orange box means spam – what the troubleshooting guide didn’t say was that recaptcha could cause this – the issue turned out to be with the Google Recaptcha keys – as soon as these were reset the form worked.

I leave this as a post as a reminder to the plugin author to update the FAQ and troubleshooting guide and for future users with the same issue.

How to specify which email to send filled form

Where do I go to specify what email the contact form should go to after submission? Also, I’m getting the orange box after I submit a test. I’ve tried your anti-span suggestions in your FAQ’s but they are not working. Any suggestions?

pyrmont v2 edits- resize nav, orange box, search bar

Hey- I’m using the pyrmont v2 theme and trying to make some minor changes. I’d like to resize the nav bar to match the size of my main post box and side bar (which I resized to make wider). I was able to remove the orange box that is on the right side of each post, but would like to remove the date as well, and put the date where the “category/tag/comment” info is under the title of each post. I’d also like to put both search bars next to each other and for them both to match.
