This is a great widget, but I have one small issue. Can it be setup so that the links in the drop down menu open in a new tab? I have the links all set to open in a new tab, but when you choose them from the drop down list, they open in the same tab. If there is someway I could fix this, I would be perfect.

If it’s not possible, i would like links to open in new browser tab.
I saw there have been a similar post but it didn’t work for me.
Do you have any idea to resolve this problem?

]]>Here’s why. For visitors to my site, I give them an opportunity to listen to an audio explanation of what they are looking at without having to leave the page. I could just place an audio player on the page but the audio instructs them to visit additional pages. If they leave, it will interrupt the audio and for their best experience it has to keep playing. So I put the audio player on a separate background page that I want to open separately.
I don’t want to complicate it either by giving additional instructions beyond, just click this link because we know visitors fall off when we add additional steps.
I appreciate your help and would love to hear your suggestions.

How can I get my links to open in a new window?
Opening links in a new window is considered bad form in today’s web as it has been abused.

So….before I spend hours changing all of my links back I thought I should verify this.
What is the proper protocol? Which way should I go? Up until today I have always made sure my links opened in a new window. I have done this only because of my personal frustration with not being able to navigate back to my starting point. Consequently I prefer my links to open in a new window or at least a new tab. I want to do the right thing & most importantly I want my readers to enjoy reading & using my web-site.

forgot to copy and/or bookmark it. If the link is not associated with the blog directory it’ll open in the new window else if it’ll open in the same window. If you know this script please share I beg that author still chilling around wordpress community
