I have a link within a paragraph block that I would like to open in a new tab or window.
I slid the selector to ‘open in new tab’ but when I click the link, it opens in the same tab. (I tried to include a screenshot here but I can’t paste an image in and when I tried to share the URL from google drive, it didn’t work.)
I tested this in an incognito window as well as another browser. It behaves the same in both Chrome and Firefox.
You can see what I mean on this page, scroll down until this sentence, which is directly above a circular image –> Choose topics?that you would like to focus on from each of the areas. (See this in another window here.)
Is this a known issue?
Thank you!
First of all thank you for this awesome plug-in!
I encountered a small bug since one of the recent updates (not sure since when exactly). The “Author information” box doesn’t save the “Open link in new tab” checkbox anymore when I put a link in it. In other words, the target="_blank"
information isn’t saved with the url.
I use this a lot so I hope you can fix this issue.
Thank you!
With kind regards,
Jeroen
1. I cannot add sermon categories.
2. I cannot select the “open in new” tab on links anymore.
3. I cannot use “TEXT” to edit a sermon post (to write my own HTML code).
4. I can no longer select or edit “sidebar template” in sermons or in posts.
5. I can no longer edit the date for sermon posts.
These are my top 5. Please help. This is really frustrating and discouraging. Thank you for your time and help.
I especially like the fact that you have an option to select “link will expire after event” A big help to avoid broken links.
I know I have asked about this before, but there are sometimes reasons to have a link open in a new window. In my case, all my external links open in a new window, so I would like My Calendar Pro to do the same. I know, joe, you have an explanation as to why this is not a good practice, but not everyone agrees: here is someone who does not.
So really would like to know if there is a way around it.
I’m currently having an issue with opening links in a new tab/window. None of my links will open in a new tab. The page above is an example of this. Below is one of the links on that page:
For the narrator
That’s in the text editor screen. If I revert back to visual editor, and check the box that says ‘Open link in new window’ it still doesn’t work, and proceeds to open in the same window.
Any ideas how I can fix this?
Thanks
Paul
In my case, all my external links open in a new tab. Mine is a travel review website and I use the same practice that TripAdvisor uses when they send someone to another website. I figure if they do it, they probably have a good reason.
For now, I just put a link in the text on the calendar, but of course it does not expire after the event.
Don't worry, just click here and you'll be right where you want to be.
But it doesn’t seem to work. It doesn’t open a new tab and instead just changes the page to a new one. What have I done wrong?
Thank you!
