my site is not live yet, since I can’t seem to fix this issue.
I checked the settings to open links in a new tab – however, it does not work.
Anyone else having this problem?

Hi,
I have been a very happy user of the Redirection plugin for a long time, use it on many of the websites I build!
I have one website which contains internal redirections, but also a number of redirections to documents on another website. I would like to open these redirections into a new tab, but I cannot find that option. Is it possible? And if not, can you please add this functionality?

The product links do not show or open in new tab

Hi, wish you all well and health. I have 2 issues with the WooCommerce plugin. This has taken over a day and still not found any good solution even implementing the code at the function.php file. I use Divi theme. And I created some product posts manually. Then, I downloaded the csv file, and added some more products to upload the csv file. First issue is when clicking on a product at the front side, the detailed product is shown under category products, not shown in the new tab after entering the code at function.php. Plugin is blocking “Open link in new tab” menu setting

I have set some menu links to “Open in a new tab” but when that menu is used in the header made by Elementor Header & Footer Builder it is blocking the link from opening in a new tab and instead only opens in the current tab.

Some Instagram videos play in webpage, others in new tab, despite same settings.

How can I get all Instagram videos to play within the webpage?

The “advanced” section below each video shows that “open in new tab” is not check-marked for any of the videos.

Below the big Play icon (an arrow-head) in the middle of the video-image, 2 of the 4 instagram videos say “Watch on Instagram”; the other 2 (with just the icon, no words) play within the page.

The same url format is entered:

https://www.instagram.com/p/CyoBBC9LuTY/ plays within my website.
https://www.instagram.com/p/Cxf9drXLWwY/?opens a new tab and goes to instagram (sound muted, even if I unmuted the previous videos).

I click the “+” sign to add a block, type in Instagram, choose the Instagram block (green and white), then paste a url like above.

On the display page (not the edit page), the html output is fundamentally identical – the differences are only regarding the video content, not how it is presented:

Adding an (external) link by selecting text or with a button has become more and more cumbersome in the Gutenberg era:

select text
add link
press enter
select link again
click pencil
click advanced
check open in new tab

Why do I need 7 clicks to set up a link? It used to be a lot simpler and quicker.
Would be great if all of this information would be available in one popup when you add a link, and not require all those extra clicks anymore.

When I create a link in a html field, go into the link settings and set it to open in a new tab, this isn’t set and saved. It seems to work, but when you go back into the setting after saving the form, the checkbox is unchecked and the form doesn’t have the target value set in the link.

Can anyone else replicate this?

Can Open in New Tab option be added to Call to Action link in Web Stories, like there is an option for a regular blog post? I am losing lots of traffic/users every time someone clicks on a link of a product I am sharing. It would be very helpful if we could select whether we want the link to open in a new tab (for example, if I am linking to a product page) or within the same window (if I am linking to my own blog post, i.e. “Click here to learn more about the topic”).
I am aware of the option of adding a text and turning it into a hyperlink, but those link clicks aren’t easily trackable in Google Analytics, as Call to Action is.

Plugin was easy to setup and the free options are enough as is for most uses.

The only thing I wish was built in was an toggle option to open all links in a new tab/window.

I reached out to support who replied in a timely manner with an edit to the shortcode used to display the logo carousel so all links open in a new tab. It worked perfectly fine but having the option in the plugin settings makes a lot of sense IMO.

Either way I recommend this plugin for a simple logo carousel.

Since the logos we feature need to link to external websites they must open in a new tab/window. I do not see this option when editing a Logo Showcase.

Can you offer some coding to add to functions.php to force those links to open in a new tab/window?

I have seen some support tickets here offer direct edits to the core plugin files but I 100% do not want to do that as the change will be lost anytime the plugin is upgraded.
