I have set up static page on my blog.
I much better prefer the static version instead of latest blog homepage because of all the carousel and siderbars option.
But I would like to have older posts link at the bottom of the 8 last posts and I don’t know to add it.
Even when I change the homepage to be “latest posts” page there is no “older posts” link at the bottom of the page.

I don’t know anything about code, or editing code, so all the suggestions in the forums were unintelligible to me. If you have any suggestions, please talk to me like I’m a total novice–because I am!
After the import when she click on the link “Older posts” in her new blog, it is not going to the correct Place. Something tells me that I have to change the “Older posts” link so it goes to her older posts on her new blog.
Where do I do this change?
I found the category
<?php next_posts_link( __( '← Older Classifieds', 'twentyeleven' ) ); ?>

but i cant find where the call comes from on search.php? can you tell me where to find this so i may edit the text also where its called at the bottom of the page? what the call should look like and where it points.
Thanks in advance.
I am using the Weaver theme and have it set to only display the most recent two blogs on the front page. However, click the link to “older posts” on the bottom left (right above the green footer).
it gets to a broken link to:
https://planfund.org/page/2/
However, if you go to the actual blog:
https://planfund.org/news/
And click on the “older posts” at the bottom, the links works:
https://planfund.org/news/page/2/
any idea how I can fix the “older posts” link on the front page?
The Articles and News pages then are blank pages with the Articles Template and News Template selected for them respectively. These Template files hold the custom Loop that only pulls from the relevant Categories.
Due to the layout being set up this way, there is no Posts page selected under the Reading section in the Settings.
Here’s the main part of the Articles page Template:
This solved the problem of having only non-News posts (Category 5) show up on that page. However, it has killed the Previous Entries link. When you click on it, it just reloads the page with the same set of latest posts.
The Previous Posts link does send you to new pages, starting with ...com/blog/articles/page/2/ and then ...com/blog/articles/page/3/ and /4/ etc. however the actual content of the pages never change.
I'm certain this has something to do with my Template file Category workaround, but I'm not sure how to fix it while still keeping the functionality of having only non-Category 5 posts show up on the Articles page.
I've looked through previous posts about the Previous Entries links not working but none of them helped. I can provide a link to the live site if necessary, but would prefer not to if possible since it's a client site and not my own.
Thanks in advance for all of your help!

Also the older and newer post links just refreshes the page. When viewing blog posts you cannot continue reading the content because there is no link for it.
Help would be appreciated.
